Summer shoes and shoe covers .
mid weight glove.
I need to get some road bike lobster gloves. I'll try thicker wool socks next time. Could probably use the answer sleetstak but with one finger might feel weird.

You might be over the weight limit on that van dont ya think?
If it was rear wheel drive we'd be doing wheelies!!!

Edit: Disclaimer - we're over 100lbs under rated tongue weight with rack weight included. This post in no ways indicates is safe to carry 7 e-bikes off the back of a Chrysler Town & Country

Disclaimer #2 - for nonlocality rides we have a 2500.... So we don't kill the Chrysler 😂

I was pretty beat last night and this morning from yesterdays MTB ride but after looking at the upcoming forecast decided to tough out another cold day outside, since back to work tmw probably means a lot more zwift this week.

Convinced 3 others from my local riding crew to come to Columbia trail for a Gravel bike ride since my back was like NFW for a MTB ride again. Original plan was to go out 45 minutes and back since one of the guys had a time crunch. But after I dropped him and the others off I was feeling pretty good and rolled around for a bunch of extra miles solo and ended up with 30+ and just over 2 hours. I took a little gamble and ventured over to the now closed horse farm that the town bought and did a few loops around the gravel roads in there. I even felt like I could have kept going but after 7 days in a row decided I was good.

It’s always so much easier to ride with others when the weather is tough makes you forget it’s cold while you banter back and forth. But we all felt like it wasn’t as bad as it seemed on the trail with some buffering of the wind from the trees. It also helps to get the clothing choices right and today was one of those “nailed it” kinda rides.

Glad I made it out as I would have been the one with major FOMO if I didnt. One of my buddies is very skilled at mid ride pics and he has the good gloves that let you touch the phone so he got us in action.

Missed this

IN but I’ll just post outdoor rides to be OG

Friday was windy but warm enough to sneak in a road ride.

Saturday was cold, damp and windy. At least no mud on standard gravel loop.

Tried to patch in Columbia trail with the usual Larger Cross gravel roads and came up with a nice route. Wind was ripping at times and some ice on Columbia Trail…

Baldpate Proper
IMG_0067.jpeg

Decided to a loop mostly in Baldpate, which means some out and back and quite a bit of climbing. Ride started by removing a dead black cat in the middle of the trail, looks like a bird of prey got it. Relatively uneventful other than crawling under a vine tangle/tree down and noting where the 8? trees were down.

Just easy spin on Zwift while watching "Masters of the Air" episode on AppleTV to recover from the weekend. Legs feel OK just gotta manage the fatigue a bit. Today is back to work after being off since Dec 19th but I can ease in working from home. Will maybe do easy 30 min Zwift before office day or take tmw off, just depends on when I wake up.
