The Scriptless Winter of 2015

I don't know what it is, but the south does do a lot with their trails. Every time I've been to Warrior Creek in NC I'm surprised and how maintained the trails are and there's always trail maintenance going on.

It's pretty much as if their version of JORBA had state funding, or there are trail maintenance guys as part of the DOT. It IS the South so instead of just putting guys in jail to work cleaning highways they rake trails?

Due to location/climate the trails down there are much more of a destination than what we have in NJ. I'm not saying they're better, just there is much more focus on them.

Wow, I thought I would still be welcome to post even though I would be 600 miles away from everyone. They have a forum for me to troll doe.

To be honest, I’m kind of done with Pancheros. The ingredients are so meh. Plus the nickel and diming for every topping is annoying. We passed a couple of Mexican joints, one called the Phat Burrito, so that sounds promising. The No QC thing is more of an issue, same with Wawa. They do have Sheetz doe.
I will 100% be at a Nascar event. Charlotte Motor Speedway is down the damn street.
The signage from the people down here on the trails is legit. They have huge closed barriers when the trails are too wet to ride. I think the community in a whole is just more aware of damaging shit.
When did you get your nails done Carson?

Such a warm night to be riding last night with Heckler and Lou; until Lou flatted. Time to reup the Stans people! Then we thought he died. Then we ran into two deer doing it on the red trail. They were scared as shit and started running directly into those fences. For 15 seconds. The buck got within 20 feet of us or so, I was kind of scared and ran to Heckler for safety.

I think the Charlotte Sunday night race (Coca Cola 600) is something we'll do, it's kinda like a bucket list item for Cameron and I. You best believe if we make the trip, I'll hit you up and we can all go....

The energy of these races is pretty awesome especially the first time.

Stupid thing wouldn't seal, @The Heckler gave me a tube because I tend to ride 6mile like a pro and carry absolutely nothing, that wouldn't hold air, then after 15 min of messing with it, I told them to move on and I'll hike it back to the canal lot. Luckily @Keep-on-Rollin and his boys rolled by like 5 minutes later and hooked me up with another tube and I was good to go. I just turned around, threw on some tunes and headed back towards Middlebush.

Man that ride back was creepy!

EDIT: almost forgot when I get home I took the tube out and added more sealant and it sealed right up.

Meh.

That actually happens a lot. The stans just takes some time to seal up. When you put the tube in and ride it for a bit, I think it helps that sealing process.

I think the food is just as good (as Chipotle) but maybe I'm just telling myself that? My wife wants to punch me every time I mention this place. Maybe the proximity to home and the fact that I don't have to wade through that village of pretentiousness next to Bridgewater mall is what really makes Pancheros appeal to me. Either way, haven't been there in a while.

Don't think sheetz can replace quick check

As a Pennsylvania transplant, this statement is misguided and simply wrong. 😀

MTO subs have been the best thing to happen to gas station food in the last 20 years.
Sheetz is old school compared quick chek. I remember when the first one came to York in the early to mid 90's and MTO was like it came from the future. Sadly, I was so entrenched in the Taco Bell 7 layer burrito lyf that I could not fully enjoy MTO.

Hope the local trails dry out from all this rain. Unless any crazy house things come up, I'd like to do something in the morning that requires a couple of hours on the bike. Dirt road ride out of Burnt Mills or the CR/6 Mile epic. Not sure what day works best for either, but after the rain we had, the lack of vitamin D made me really sleepy. So did the Titan/Jag game last night.
