Try this while it's still here. I had some over a buddy's house after christmas. I've got one waiting for me in the fridge right now, I'll enjoy it over the weekend. 😀

Ill be trying this fo sure. Next week looks like it will happen. I gotta drink up last weeks splurge!

Speaking of, last weeks splurge included River Horse Chocolate Stout (special edition) beats the pants off of young's and may take the cake for one of the best chocolate stouts I have had. Ill have another in a few and get back to confirm.
 
Had some Victory Storm King Cask Stout last night at Mugs in Williamsburg. Nice and smooth from the cask, and the perfect temp (not too cold!). Would definitely recommend it if you can find it pulled from a cask. Haven't tried it out of the bottle...

I'm on my second purchase of Founder's Breakfast Stout, which I think someone posted in another thread a while back. Oatmeal, chocolate, and coffee. Good stuff for the weather we are currently experiencing.

Anyone try the Ommegang Chocolate Indulgence yet? Yum.

I had a keg of Breakfast Stout on tap at my buddy's house for New Years and it was great stuff!

Chocolate Indulgence is wonderful but it's one of the few beers I can't drink too much of because it's so rich.

I've been telling Fred he has to get this. It's probably my favorite beer right now. I told the guy at the liquor store to recommend a stout. He asks if I like coffee. I tell him I roast my own and drink it black. A month later and I'm thinking about buying stock in the company. 🙂

This is the stuff a special someone gave to me to bring to the picnic, I thought it was really good.

Damn it, now I gotta go beer shopping!
 
Brooklyn Black Ops

If you can even find this stuff grab it if you appreciate a chocolate stout.

Brooklyn Black Ops and it comes in a champagne bottle....VERY expensive $20 but personally money well spent.
 
I stopped by Gerry's on Rt 23 today and picked up a 4 pack of Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout. I'd say it is on par with Stones RIS. I would buy this again for sure, in fact I think they had a case there hmmm :drooling:
 
Youngs Chocolatey Goodness!!!

Been a long time sisnce I had one of these. OMG they are SO adamned good!!!! Strong Choocolate. Better than hersheys!
 
I had grand aspirations after work today...until I consumed Smuttynose Imperial Stout (bomber). Great stout at a great price... take nap now.

these are pretty good. oskar blues makes some real strong tasting beers....but they are good. fully roasted is an understatement

I agree, love the tenfidy, and it goes down suprisingly smooth.

Last night I tried the mokah from southern tier. It was very good as well. Verrry strong chocolate taste with a good bit of coffee also.
