Far from a fan of any politician and politics in general. Can someone explain to me when the POTUS, of either party, set the price of gas in this country and other countries throughout the rest of the free world. Seem to remember gas prices being high during the GWBush years. Like anything, it's easy to place blame, but seems to me there's something else to it. No I did not vet the source, this was during morning saddle time on the spin bike.

Generically speaking, and with no refence to current situation, if the administration decides to limit the number of lemons being harvested in a year what do you think is going to happen to the price of lemons? Technically, the administration had no saying over the price of lemon, yet...
Speaking of the current situation instead, it would be informative if we were told why the oil company have limited the amount of oil and natural gas being pumped, without looking through the lenses of partisan bias, on both sides.
I would also go out on a limb and say that claiming that these prices will accelerate the move toward electric means of transportation is the 21st century equivalent of the 'give them croissants' of Marie Antoinette's memory (which apparently never really happen, but kind of fits the situation). Has anybody made an evaluation of the additional burden on the grid if transportation became electric only, and how that additional requirement of electricity could be fulfilled? Add to that the vulnerability of the grid to foreign cyber attacks and the picture gets ugly pretty fast.

Almost 3 weeks. 1st (secret) visit with sister. Forcing mult medicine down my kids mouth, OR visits, countless sleep interruptions, kid raging and hangry on drugs, all that we can deal with. Both kids homesick and just want to be with each other, losing it. Please please please let this be the week we go home.

The most helpless feeling is when our kids are sick and we can’t take it over and be sick for them. This must be 10000 times worse but that pic says a lot to me about you and family. Hang tough you got this 🙏🏻💪🏻

didn't look them all up, but yep shell had 20b in net income in 2021. they also lost 21B in 2020, but I guess no one gives a shit about that. companies are in place to make money. supply and demand. stop buying the gas, and the prices will come down. and it would help if people just understood what drove pricing anyways. much like stocks, gas prices are driven off the expectation of good or bad, not the current. so, when a major pipeline is shut down, traders say no - no more future gas, expectation is supply shortage, let's raise prices. the opposite is true for expectations the other way. let's stop demonizing companies that make money - personally, I want to make as much money as possible and everyone who doesn't like that can kiss my backyard.

Our family is reunited! My pleading and your thoughts and prayers helped! We were definitely planning to stay the weekend but after his procedure yesterday we got his lab results back that was showing more progress. It’s still not great by any means but good enough to go home. Back for our first clinic visit early next week of many. Mrs and I are still processing what the hell just happened and not going to lie I cried like 5 times yesterday from the emotional roller coaster ride and just from being fucking proud of our little warrior.

Attack of the fire ants. I was doing my rounds checking out aerators on our community ponds (I'm on the ponds and preserves committee) and while trying to open one of the pump boxes, didn't realize there was a huge fire ant nest on the other side. Sandals with no socks so they got me pretty good

Not likely. We just had a regime change and I was actively supporting the ones who lost. So I get to be attacked by ants and chased by gators and pigs!
