I finally had time to go for a short bike ride and got a call from my son that it was flat. Somehow he was able to use his emergency electric roadside pump thing to get enough air in it to drive it over for me.

More frown but I kinda knew it was coming this time..

while the tire is fixable the car needs brakes all around - didnt need that $1200 burning a hole in my pocket anyway .... sigh.
 
I had a feeling replacing the conti gatorskins with conti 5000s would bite me in the ass (gatorskins were out when I had my bike I for service in jan). Flatted yesterday - had to get a wifey ride home

The frown for me is the road bike upside down on the handlebars on the concrete - ouch.

The next frown would be scratched my Garmin/Wahoo/Karoo i guess?

After about 6 weeks and $60 spent replacing shifter cable and housing and multiple adjustments finally figured out what’s wrong with my gravel bike shifting. It’s been binding up on and off and hard to pedal and then all of a sudden I can shift up or down and it goes away. No set pattern.

It was so random and didn’t make much sense but yesterday when I was riding and it happened again I found the chain was off the lower jockey wheel and for xxx miles has been grinding down the inside derailleur cage. 🤬

Friend of mine helping me out today everything is soaking in his ultrasonic cleaner overnight and we will put it back together tmw and maybe straighten out the cage for now.

The cage replacement is like $30 but Probably will just order a new RD and chain anyway. Arg.

I would put the ceramic speed upgrade on my 6 year old road bike before I would do that to my gravel bike where it’s guaranteed to have less life expectancy.

Then again who am I kidding that would make the RD worth more than the whole bike. 🤪

seems like it was actually the end of the cable where it exited the RD, somehow was making contact with the chain and pushing it off the jockey wheel. side of the cage is still F'd but hopefully that solves it for now. Have to test ride it to see for sure.

So only drug addicts litter? That's a joke, quite possibly could just as easily be some self entitled dingbat in a nice European car that doesn't want their car to smell like lunch. Ya never know, seen it happen on West Parkway in Pompton Plains. I was like wtf? But essentially I agree,there's probably a garbage can 100 feet away but couldn't make that effort. Sad times, we need the Indian with the tears back as a reminder. (Some may get the reference, all you boomers out there. )
