Things that make you frown :(

Wait, what is tgff ed problem here? If you just need the little barrel for the cable head and a fox one would work I have a bag of those, I list one and replacement only came in a bag of many…if that fixes the problem you’re welcome to it.

Head of the cable flexes when you actuate the dropper, since the bottom is flat, but the actuator is cupped. Ergo, over time, you flex the cable enough to snap the head off.

Being rammed in the rear passenger door/wheel while coming to a stop in the middle lane by a kid in the process of changing lane. I felt bad for the kid, but this is my only car and daily commuter, I couldn't really work out a deal outside the insurance (we both have Geico) so I will need to use the rental provided by his policy when I get it fixed. It's unfortunate but I really did nothing to create this situation. I'm glad I did not go ballistic on the kid, reality is I was too tired to enter an argument and he was very polite and admitted it was entirely his fault.

I'm probably being excessive, the damage to my car amounts to a big ding on the rear door (not sure if the suspension or a=other inner parts have been affected).

I know its easy for me to say, but while aggravating and inconvenient, no one got hurt and the car can be fixed and you got some good Karma (car-ma?) for not making the kid feel worse since he admitted it.

Just make sure you file a police report for insurance etc...

Honestly, this is the kind of thing I'm happy to carry insurance for. Someone rear-ended my partner when she took my car to go to the store, and crunched my bike rack. Same kind of circumstances with you, too. The car escaped unscathed, but I had to replace the rack, and the insurance company was perfectly happy to simply write a check for it--even though I had to explain several times to the claims adjuster that all I wanted was them to replace the bike rack, and the car was fine.

Absolutely, the possibility of getting hurt didn't even compute in my head at any time as I was almost coming to a stop and I did not even feel the impact, just heard the noise. His front end on the other end...I guess a 2015 Jeep GC > 2020 Honda CR-V!

No Police report filed, we're working everything through his insurance (that also happens to be mine) and he officially admitted full responsibility.

Sorry to hear but are you sure he has insurance? So many times on Judge Judy, people will say they "had" insurance and have a card to show so, but they didn't pay and it was canceled and not valid at the time of the accident.

I was on the phone with my insurance rep, he looked his policy up, contacted him and confirmed the coverage including car rental during the repair. Should be good.

It makes me sad when I get to the final pass when machining a tool and I hit my 1.253" diameter dead on only to look down at my notes and see it was supposed to be 1.263". I'll try again tomorrow after work because I'm too frustrated with myself right now.

whats the tolerance on that 1.263? you might be ok . . . .

My guess is +/- 0.005". Pretty standard.

Speaking from experience here 0.010 either way isn't really that big of a deal for most things.....(hell it's a standard tolerance on many things)

All depends on what it does and how it works. Calling it a tool was kinda vague
