Things that make you smile :)

i'll put this in the smile thread for now... although this could rapidly move into the other thread

i do not have the typical 9-5 schedule. M-W yes... but Thursdays can be a 9-8 or 9-9 day (it's gotten progressively longer since covid)... BCT (before covid times), my bosses would let me leave early on fridays to make up for the thursday lateness... but that's been lost since covid and the new company and supervisors getting fired, etc etc...

anyway... i've gotten pretty pissed off when my current supervisor has been letting the copy editors leave early for putting in extra time but makes me feel like i have to stay for "one more story" or something...

so i've requested (and conditionally) granted 3pm Fridays unless there's some kind of early deadline issue.

so fingers crossed no one finds a "problem" with me leaving early... and i can get some of my sanity back.

Is that some accessory on top of it? Otherwise il looks like a WM-10 "Super Walkman"...I used to own a WM Sports, last time I saw it was floating away while still blasting AC/DC Highway To Hell under the now defunct Clearwater Memorial Causeway Drawbridge due to a too sudden stop while rollerblading on my way back from a rare beach outing that left me with a yellow headset as its only memory (stock pictures for reference, back in 1996 I owned film cameras only).

Yes, it came with a belt clip. This is the WM-10, and when collapsed (without a tape inside) it is the size of a cassette box.

Last tear I bought this nice wooden black bear for my yard. I made it so it would spin on a pole.
I was adjusting it today and I looked up, there was a real bear about 30 feet away watching me.
Then it just wandered away through the neighborhood.
I wonder what it thought was going on?
