Things that make you smile :)

Father's day photo dump.
1st is wonderful drawing daughter Dylan Rose Muller gave as an early present, as she was doing her annual camping trip this weekend. She joked my fault for missing because I got her into camping.
Nice bike ride at Allaire with daughter Erica Muller and husband Marcel. Really fun, flowy. Beautiful weather.
Nice poolside dinner followed by fire, where we created our own Dead & Co. Sphere with some Jiffypop.
All of this made possible by the amazing Cindy Yaccarino Muller, who's loved, cared and spoiled us all for all these years.View attachment 240835View attachment 240837View attachment 240839View attachment 240840
Literally LOL'd at the JiffyPop Sphere reference - I grew up on those either over the stove during the winter or at sleep away camps during summers. especially the "its a little burnt smell"

I’d be incredibly hesitant to obliterate years of trail building if/when we have shit weather during an event. We are pouring a metric shit ton of sweat equity into building these so I’d be opposed to it, personally.

@rjr44 - are you saying you climbed that middle shot 4x and did 4 separate DH/ish runs?

I put this in smile so @Team MTBNJ doesn't get upset.

Thinking back to that trail turned creek at stewart 6 pack and other more obvious cases. As a person who does a lot of hours at a place that holds a race, and one where it is cursed with day-of-race rain, it would seem the avg race promotor should have a race at a place they build can see the true impact of their decision not to cancel.

You are aware we had like 30 ST races on a course we built from scratch?

Sorry, should have clarified public trails.

How does that have any bearing on your contention that, "the avg race promotor should have a race at a place they build can see the true impact of their decision not to cancel."

We fully understand the impact, regardless of public versus private trails. In fact, it is entirely why I have the opinion that I do.

That's fair and thanks for responding. I do think it has a bearing on the conversation as the discussion of damage to the trails is different. IDK, maybe the boy scouts have ask you to come back to maintain the trails and you just never posted about it. Or you built trails so well they never have needed maintenance. I would venture to say that these trails are being built to be much more sustainable and they would be able to handle the impact of a race.

Got a last minute invite Sunday from a family friend to go with my middle son out to his lake house around Hawley, PA the last 3 days. Was able to bring work laptop and fit in some fun in between meetings.

Quad/ATV trails Monday and out on Lake Wallenpaupack today. Tried water skiing for the first time and nearly made it to a standing ski after 3-4 tries. Also never saw a porcupine In the wild before.

Good times we will be back.

Editing a Word document from one of my engineers at work. As I'm typing it's basically telling me I'm spelling each word wrong and keeps "correcting" the spelling of words into completely different words.

Eventually figure out the document is set for Venezuelan Spanish...
