Awesome! Also fun to read about the path of GIS professionals. I’m about to hit the 20 year mark with my company as a GIS analyst and it’s great to see how other people and organizations apply it.

CRTouch, but almost exactly the same thing - just has a metal probe. From what I've read, the internals are otherwise identical.
