That a young person can drop that fast is terrifying. Did he have any pre-existing conditions?
So i'm not a dr, as i've been reminded. But i am trained in hypoxia, and that is what i interpret is happening.
you see all people with their blood-O2 meters (pulse oximeter) on their finger?
so you go to the hospital cause difficulty breathing. you are doing fair, they test you.
when you are relaxed, the readings are ok. you stay a night they send you home.
no o2 tank/concentrator, or bpap, or anything. you think it isn't a concern. they said you'll be ok.
you are breathing, but labored. and tired. things are a little fuzzy, but you figure you'll be ok.
you can talk - not a problem. your caretaker asks if you are ok - you say i'm good.
who wants to go back to the hospital?
you fall asleep - your breathing becomes more shallow.
you don't wake up.
it isn't like holding your breath.
You've seen those high altitude videos, where they have the troops take off their masks?
it is a little different, cause you take a breath, and the o2 leaves your blood rather than being absorbed,
but it comes down to the same thing.
no o2, no screaming, no pain, just peace out.
as far as ways to die, this is a good one.
if awake, there is might be euphoria.
Paracusia and visual hallucinations.
never trust the answer of someone that is having a hard time breathing or
a sugar crash (diabetics) - they can not use logic.
note the diabetic is likely to punch you in the face for crossing what they say.
i have instruction from a friend to take the punch and stuff an OJ down his throat.
