This Thread Blows - C19 and beyond

To get an engine up to proper operating temp to burn off all moisture needs to be about a half hour round trip. That reminds me.... all you that are stuck at home don't forget to take your cars for a ride so it doesn't cost you later in repairs.

Not a problem here, I take the mustang out every other day. Seems car guys are getting antsy, lots of cruisers and red light racers are out

They were delivering my sons school work (they have done this 1 time) with the school bus

My wife was telling me that they are putting way less people on vents at morristown now....She said they are trying to not put any people on them...instead opting to lay them face down and put them on oxygen instead. They have been having more success with this method over ventilators.
Which is in line with what i was reading in the NYT yesterday

So my guess is that A. we're not going to run out of ventilators. B. next month we will have warehouses of ventilators that will never get used.......

FTR I don't agree with this crazy ass MFer. I just found everything coming out of his mouth NUTS!
When you see the chinese wearing tyvek suits to test and treat patients, you know something is really wrong!

I've taken over the shopping. Mrs is too scared. I wear the mask but not gloves. I just make sure I don't touch anything else but the stuff I need to buy and after checkout I sanitize and before I get to driving I santitize
Have you been to the post office?! I only went to drop a package off but they have plastic sheets taped around the entire vertical plane of the counters. It is very ghetto.

I hope all these PPE practices hold after this pandemic. People need to be more aware of their health and other people's personal space.

With 80% of Covid patients not coming off a ventilator once started, finding alternatives is definitely a good thing.

I read we shouldn't be wearing gloves since they really should be one time use. They say it's better to just constantly wash your hands. It's tough in the shop. I go through gloves all day long and half the time I accidentally touch the wrong side and have to toss and wash again.

Still waiting to see or hear anything about SBA loans, but good to know I can still get decent steak.
.

hopefully the 5000 employees are actually getting some of the $.

Got my stimulus check direct deposited today, too bad I can't go out on a rager and blow it all.

So just as an interesting data point, my grandmother went to the hospital about two weeks ago and tested positive for the coronavirus. She's 87, diabetic, smoked her whole life, is mostly wheelchair bound, and generally speaking, is not in great health. She was in the hospital not doing well for the first few days, then was doing a bit better, and she has since been released to a rehab facility. She was never put on a ventilator.
