Pretty much every country other than the US has some form of socialized healthcare. Some have higher, some have lower death rates than us. My opinion is that we’re still in the early days of this and anyone who is trying to make definitive statements about it is probably wrong, simply because we’re in uncharted territory and we don’t yet have dependable data. But hey, there are endless opinions to choose from. One is bound to be right, even if it’s by accident.Socialized healthcare would not keep the death rate low... look at all the death rates/million for countries with socialized care anywhere from 2 to 5 times higher than the USA. I mean you can even see that in the US, government run hospitals do not perform as well as private sector run hospitals.
But there is still this problem.

Banks warn additional $310 billion allocated for small businesses likely already used up
The more than $300 billion set aside to replenish the emergency loan program for small businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic is likely already all...www.marketwatch.com
I went and applied through SwyftFilings and Square this morning. Maybe that’ll make a difference? My accountant mentioned she knows several people who had good luck using Paypal to get the PPP loan done quickly. I'm riding it out with PNC since i'm a couple of steps ahead of you.
My wife works at a little 3 letter company that starts with "A" and employs 250,000 people. She just told me they anticipate keeping employees out of the offices for months. Total socialist power grab!

This thread is possibly the best thread ever on this site.
Wait. No. The opposite of that.

Hmmm... considering I was working in NYC til early March... maybe I should go get tested for antibodies. Does anyone know how to get the antibody test in NJ?Just released by Cuomo - 14% of NYers tested positive for covid exposure, 22% in NYC. If accurate, that puts the death rate for NYS at ~ 0.7%
