I'm kinda good with 'ok, no longer term study on potentially dangerous side effects' - and accepting the behavior to protect one self and others.
Aside friom those where there are issues with vaccines, the other excuses are bs. Like Im not letting the govt tell me what to do.

My question is always will you get the vaccine if they get full FDA approval? The goal posts usually move at that point.

Someone I work with cited this as their particular reason for not getting vaccinated. I'm paraphrasing, but it amounted to "I'm not getting vaccinated just because everyone is telling me that I have to get vaccinated. And making me do things I don't want to do is un-American".
That's what we're up against.

I suspect approval may sway some more children getting vaccinated but doubt it will make much difference for adults. Right now the vaccination rate for 12 - 15 is 33%. When younger kids get approved, that group will likely be even lower.

That's part of the problem. The question is, how much? Is that the reason low income and minorities aren't getting vaccinated? Is that the reason 30-40% of brits, Israelis, French, Germans, etc aren't getting vaccinated?
I'm not actually sure what you're even arguing. There's a clear difference in vaccine rates along party lines. There are other trends as well.

just found out my SIL (county sherifs crime scene dept) has been told vaccination is MANDATORY if she wants to come into the office anymore (i think they gave everyone in the dept 60 days to get their first shot). . . shes been refusing to get it bc she thinks its going to sterilize her 🤣 🤣 (as if that would matter with her lifestyle choices anyway)
So if she doesn't get vaccinated then she doesn't have to go into the office anymore?

Looking at counties. The question is - strictly politics or other factors such as income and race?
Riddle me this - why are only 33% of blacks in NYC partially vaccinated against covid? @Norm 's "razor" says the vast majority of this population must be Trump voters. I say, I wouldn't try to shave with that razor!
Look at the second link. Again, of course there are many complicated factors involved but there's still a clear difference in vaccination rates between party lines, whether you look at it on a county by county, state, or individual basis.

Very interesting question. At this point I think it's safe to assume the majority of the adults that have yet to be vaccinated in this country are doing so for political reasons (even if they won't admit it), but with a comparatively small degree of that nonsense existing in Europe my non-expert guess would be that their unvaccinated population is unvaccinated because of vaccine access issues and not political ideology.
But if vaccine access is not a major issue in any of those countries then who knows. Who knows why people do things.
