My BiL is similar- trying to talk his mom out of getting her second dose.

Of course he and his wife's family weren't all that careful and had full herd immunity by Christmas.
Some got really sick and hospitalized, but no one died, so that helps reinforce the antivax sentiment.
It was great seeing pics of their 5-6 household maskless Xmas get together while the rest of us were having Zoom holidays.

Damn, I must have worked with him too! Software developer. Firmly believed the earth is 6,000 years old (or whatever it is). Everything was attributed to an imaginary "them". Gas prices went up? "They" were at fault. Now, why "they" didn't raise the prices earlier, I have no idea. Perhaps "they" only figured it out just now. Gas prices went down? Them again. That's how "they" get you! You buy a car with crappy mileage, then "they" raise them back up!

Nice guy aside from the crazy around the edges.

This thing dropped me like a bad habit. I currently have the same symptoms as I did when I had the virus last year. Luckily it's raining and spending the weekend on the couch is fine. I would strongly suggest a Friday appointment if you get it, just in case it takes you out.

Got my first Moderna shot this morning and it knocked me for a loop too. I'm trying to get enough energy up to crawl under my wife's car and replace the exhaust but it might have to wait for tomorrow.

Edit: I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from getting it, just don't make plans afterwards in case you have similar side effects. Although the third arm will definitely come in handy at work so we'll see(you know, being that it alters your DNA and all).

Had mine Tuesday. Felt a little buzzed for an hour, but then normal. I think after 5 rounds of Chemo my body just chews up drugs then spits them out.

Pfizer first dose gave me a decent headache, serious brain fog and some arm pain the next day. I'm already planning on calling out the Monday after I get my 2nd on the 14th. I rarely get sick so I'm guessing my immune system doesn't appreciate this much.

of course not. nj seems to give vaccines willy nilly. Our son works in a food supermarket and is still not eligible until the end of march. Does NJ disclose what percentage of 65+ they have vaccinated?
