Tourne County Park Conditions

Great conditions here today. Tacky trails and minimal mud. New trail is riding nicely! Fun features. All Hail the trail builders and thanks to JORBA for its support.

Where is the new trail? I was just there tonight but no idea where it was being built or that it was even close to done.

The green part is finished and is a good alternative to climbing the McCaffrey sled hill. We are still working in the yellow area.

Just curious...is somebody actively clearing blowdowns in the Tourne?
Only the MCPC is authorized to use chainsaws in Tourne. The volunteer crew is not authorized to use chainsaws. It is best to post all chainsaw requirements on trailforks with a picture and the gps coordinates.

The trail building crew has done a lot of work at Tourne over the past few years. It's a great place to ride, easily get 10 - 12 miles of a great mix to ride. It's got some great flow, good tech and everything in between.

Trails are great today. Momma bear and her two cubs were enjoying their time on the trails also. Trees down on red and purple.

I rode there for the first time on Sunday and saw the Momma bear and 2 cubs on the purple trail. I startled them and the cubs flew up the same tree and were at least 30 ft up the tree while Mom kept an eye on me.

Great job @Berms&Boofs and crew. Sampled the new stuff today. Excellent work! Tourne keeps getting better and better👍

Co-signed. Rode here yesterday for the first time in almost 2 years, I need to get here more often...the new stuff is so good and challenging. Plenty of fun b-line stuff around to keep it fresh.

Interestingly, it's the closest (legal) trail system from my house.

Ran into @Stillz Sunday. There’s also another new trail Jorba volunteers are cutting in the eastern perimeter that skirts an eroded section of the red trail. Not ready yet but the work so far looks good 👍
