Trying to avoid the beach week this year and keep it simple with a resort/hotel stay within a few hours of NJ. That means no packing food, cleaning up after ourselves, poolside towels, no cooking, continental breakfast, spa? for the ladies, outdoor exploration. Outdoor pool a must and good options on and off site for food.

Any family friendly recommendations? Hopeful for $200-300 a night. I'm thinking Hershey Hotel right now. TIA
Edit, hershey aint cheap!

The Hershey hotel ain't cheap. But it's actually really nice. I think it's one of those you get what you pay for.... My wife and I stayed there with the kids The grounds in the hotel are very nice

How about some time at Lifetime in Bridgewater? Place is crazy expensive per month but for a family over the summer you can workout or chill at a spa.

@clarkenstein I thought you were kidding after reading the first sentence lol but you do make a good point.

Our beach vacation is usually with the in law families so looking for a well rounded place

I know it’s the beach again… check this place out. Kate and I have been eyeing it:

There's a location in Cape May on the beach already and they're looking for permission to build something bigger in another location.

+1 For the Hershey Hotel. Always clean and well run.
@JDurk where would they put that place? 1st and Beach?

On Beach, across from the Convention Center where the old movie theater is located. Last time I was down there, and referring to Google maps, I recall the property at 1st and Beach had a fence around it.

1st and Beach has the footprint and views for something big.
The past 5 years a lot has changed that we haven't seen in the 30 years we have been going there.
Sorry for the hijack @THATmanMANNY on a side note, the Wolf Lodge uses HUGE amount of chlorine and it bothered my son to the point of skin irritation.

On a more economic scale, we went to bear creek a couple years ago and it was surprisingly good. They had some crazy slip and slide that went down the hill, a nice pool, you can sneak out on a MTB ride. Food is meh but you can drive close by for a restaurant.

Just go full baller mode and splurge

Yo this isn't even that bad $ for being beachfront! And it's nice. Top contender already along with Hershey. See what the rest of ppl's priorities are. We just got too much going on to care about packing and cooking to rent a house. Rather have a quality pampered few days than doing what you do at home in someone else's house.

Keep em coming!

We've been to Kalahari in the Poconos a few times and my family loves it. They also have treetop adventures with zip lines and that was a lot of fun.
