Better to use a long threaded bolt with washers or the sockets.

Pressed it in with a socket and vice it worked

I was going to do this but the bolts I had were too thick so I improvised

I've got to get the race all the way on head set is seated all the way. I wish I had a gold covered bike like Liberace I mean @serviceguy but all and all I'm happy so far.

I'll get the bb on crankset, run the shifter cable and maybe set up the tires tomorrow?

But you should have used something to push on the top of the cap instead. Don't want to ruin the surface where the bearing sits.

His method is fine but I got nervous when he started talking shims since it was going in crooked. At least he didn't use a brick ala Sam Pilgrim.
