JORBA: Morris Trails

Fun, but cold, ride at Wawayanda today. The main double-track trails were snow-mobile packed. Fatties not required for most sections other than when riding on the lake itself. Singletrack was socked in (though we did manage a short stretch of Sitting Bear). Got a decent 16 miles in. The gas line was fully rideable, too, which enabled us to link in some of the southern sections.

Nice. I have to go there one of these days. I'd like to do the loop that Rob showed me last year. I have no idea of the trails there but I'll make that ride a course and put in the Garmin.

BTW. Those are some big a$$ poggies 🙂

Nice, I came in later, around 1:30 and rode the William Hoe trail to Iron Mountain trail to the lake and around to the furnace. It was snowing pretty hard by then, but I got in my measly 6 miles. My trails were good, but badly rutted in places.

Another fat day at Wawayanda that turned up aces. Still a bunch of snow, especially in the shady areas. The warm weather and rain followed by cold temps over Saturday eve made for a nice firm surface. Warm temps this week, though 🙁

Diesel, Trailhead and I put in 15 miles from Ferber to Wall to Porcupine to Rockandendron to Mojo to Fishermans to Lookout (west) to Timber to South End to Sitting Bear to Double Pond to Plymouth to Banker back to Ferber.

Working on a vid...here are some pics for now.
