I like to ride weekday mornings at least once a week (usually 2 times) .. less distractions during the morning. Anyone like to do weekday mornings?

Let me know if you are beginner paced and interested in riding mornings. Wheels down usually at 6:30AM, ending roughly 8:30AM to get back for work. I live in Northeastern NJ, ride out as far West as Jungle Habitat, Deer Park, and as far South as Six Mile Run.

Tomorrow (Monday, May 11) morning, gonna go check out the Tourne for the 1st time. Will be at the Old Boonton Road Entrance at 6:30AM.

Just got back from my morning ride at the Tourne. Trails solid as a rock. It was kind of small, but I quite enjoyed it. Kinda like mini Lewis Morris, but the rocks make it more technical. I had to do couple of laps around the red to feel like I got my money's worth. Hit the switchback and some unmarked single tracks as well, which was fun.

Next morning ride will probably be Wed or Thursday. Thinking about hitting Jungle Habitat or Sprain. I didn't realize Sprain was so close to me .. like 20 minutes by car. Just have to deal with the $8 bridge toll.

On another note, I've been using the iPhone "Trails" application to follow other people's GPX tracks. It's not that awesome, but it at least allows me to figure out if I'm on the right path when I stop at intersections. Totally worth the $2.
 
Hey Soundz. Yeah, I just had to use that picture. I'm glad you took it, Thank you. Hope you don't mind me using it as my avatar. I'm in for early mornings. Tuesday and Thursday morning would work well for me but my return time to the house would be more around 7:30ish. The wifey has to leave for work. I could leave the house as early as need be. I'm at work during the week at 5:00am anyway so waking up isn't an issue. I'd be open to any suggestions on places to ride and I'd don't know how far you want to drive or visa versa.
 
me and a couple of buddies work night shift and usually ride chimney rock, sourlands or six mile run on wed and/or morings after work. usually hitting the trailhead a little later than Soundz or TommyCrash. usually about 8:30 or so, depending on location and riding for a few hours. definitly up for more company if anyone wants to ride with us.

No problem at all on the photo. It was actually my friend who took it. Re: morning riding, I can actually be good for wheel down as early as 5:30am. Just need to go to sleep and wake up earlier. I'm down for 6MR and Chimney Rock .. sounds like you may be near that area? What town do you work in?

We should try a ride together to see if our pace is ok for each other. I'm not that fast, but looking for some motivation to be pushed 😀

Bit late for me as you said, but will keep it in mind ... sometime I can start working later.
 
I tend to ride early mornings userly wheels down by 630am. i would love to have some company now and then. PM me if you would like to meet up. I have a late job on tomorrow and weds, so i am going to be heading out in the morning. I am willing to ride anywhere as long as its not to much of a drive. I don't like to spend more time in the car than on the bike.

I'm always up for morning rides, except i don't have time to get to the woods and then work on time.

Be that as it may, today I noticed a race from NY Century Club this week-end. It's a 1.5 mile TT uphill from Alpine Boat Basin to just before the rangers station.

Although there's a hiking trail from Alpine Boat Basin, I'm gonna play it by the book.

Soon, I hope to cycle from Ft. Lee Historic Park, to Alpne Boat Basin, up to Ranger Station and Back to Ft. Lee Historic Park.

I can do it on Road or MTB bike, 6 AM start time. Post Back or PM

I'm looking more to spend time on the dirt than road, but thanks for the offer! Will keep it in mind if I ever get my fixie project completed.

Early Mornings are my personal fav just ask spence and being unemployed allows lots of time to play. You want major or minor tour of any mooch just PM...

Gonna try to check out Lou's Deer Park ride next Tuesday PM, but I may take you up on that at some point. Will PM when ready 🙂
 
I actually might be up for Jungle Habitat ini the mornings. Mndays are bad for me, but any other day during th week I'm in!!! 6:30 sounds ideal!

shoot me over a pm, im kind of new but i know my way around jungle quite well 🙂
 
I'll be riding the JH with a newbie friend tomorrow (Thurs, 7/9) morning. We'll be there at 7AM and ride for about an hour. Feel free to join.

Hey soundz sorry to hear u can't make the ride....I was hoping to join you for my first ride at JH. It's happens to be the next park on my list to ride. I'm free mornings and would like to join you on a ride so let me know. -Manny
 
My mornings are usually free so I'll join on a few rides. I live in NW Jersey so JH, Ringwood, Wildcat, etc are pretty close. PM me the next time you're riding in the hood and we'll join forces.
