What are you watching now?

Finished Tehran season 2 tonight. Not remotely as good as season 1.

Also finished Barry (HBO) season 1 last week. I enjoyed it. A little dark, a lot dark comedy, but solid.

My college roommate named his daughter Lydia.


We are now watching 1899.
It is a trainwreck like Dark.

Have the last episode of stranger things in queue. 2.5 hours,
 
Since I’ve been confined indoors for training due to my injury I started watching Dahmer
On Sunday since I did a 2 hour endurance zwift ride.

Got to episode 2 and already wasn’t liking it and by episode 3 or 4 I was like nah can’t watch this anymore.

My son has been watching Wednesday will try that next.

After 2 episodes I mentally checked out of 1899. Meh.

Same writers as Dark btw.
 
Just finished up Slow Horses season 1 on Apple-
Holy crap that was really well done.
I’m almost hesitant to watch season 2 for that sophomore slump.
 
Just finished Star Trek Discovery, then Picard then Strage New Worlds. The Easter eggs to the original series were worth the price of admission. Made my wife go back and watch ‘amok time’, ‘city on the edge of forever’ and ’balance of terror’ With me. Good times.

Yea, me too. If they stick to the character play, it should be fine. I found the main arc storyline of the first season to be meh; it was the interaction of the characters that kept me interested.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first season of Discovery, was good with the 2nd and most of the 3rd, but the fourth lost me, can't go back. SNW has been everything I hoped. From what I understand Picard is very heavy-handed in it's messaging, so I've not watched.

I hear you about season 4 of Discovery. Yes, Picard is the worst of the 3 IMHO but still enjoyable. The writers of all 3 (same in collaboration I think) have an obvious knowledge of and a fondness for the original series that makes them much more fun if you are a fan of a certain age......
 
Wife received a suggestion to check out Wednesday on Netflix. She binge watched it over the weekend. I kinda got into it, but started at Ep. 3 or 4 and watched through Ep 6. She liked it alot.
 
Watched Sebastian Maniscalco special on Netflix. He looked horrible and his eyes looked bloodshot. 20 minutes of 1:20 were funny. Kinda disappointed.

We watched about 15 minutes of that and quit. It was total garbage.
