I went to a home brew competition at Dog and Cask on Rt. 17 last night. A few employees at my gf's job brew and are always there for these, and yesterday was Stout day. One of her coworkers made a 'CocoChoco', coconut and dark cocoa. I'm not a stout fan, even more so of chocolate beers, but wow was it smooth. Fortunately, he toasted the coconut and did a short intro as to not overpower it and to cut the acidity of the original tasting of Plan A, a chocolate stout. Somebody else had a chocolate habanero stout, going off the idea of those chocolates with chili peppers. That was a very interesting one as well.
