What bit me?

Found this gem on the inside of my arm last night. When I went to bed it was a deep purple and now it is pink. I did not see a tick on it yesterday morning/afternoon.

Does anyone have any idea what took a bite out of me? Thanks!

If that is getting a black and blue around it and hurts you should go the the doctor

isn't that the classic tick bullseye, buy being around the elbow a little different in coloration, I have some kind of bite on my shoulder yesterday, now you got me freaked out...

I checked myself when I got home from riding and did not see any ticks... after the ride I demo'ed some walls at a friends house and mowed my lawn so I guess anything could have gotten me!

It was black and blue yesterday, now it changed to pink(ish). When you say go to the doctor, should I do it now?

Normally once it turns black and blue if it hurts then it is time to see what is going on with it.
Did not think about the Bee sting ... couple of years back my buddy found out he was allergic to Bee stings from what the doctor in the ER told him was Bee venom stays in your system and builds up.
He carries an epi-pen now just in case.

if it is turning into a crater may be a spider.
in any case, if it is pink & warm it is probably infected. My need to take care of that regardless of the kritter

Did you scratch the shit out of it before taking the pic? If so, it may be a horse or pine fly, those bastards leave welts on me that look close to what you have. If you didn't scratch it, then pack some mud on it to help draw out the venom and keep an eye on it cause it may be a wasp bite. A bee would have left the stinger in you.

Me old Mudder had a thing for putting damp bread on it and a bandaide which as it dried out sucked out the venom

These are the best posts, ever. Someone posts a shitty picture of a boohoo, with next to no descriptive information, and asks us to play Dr.House MD. Does it hurt, does it burn, itch, how long did it take to develop? Did you use a public bathroom or airport restroom recently and not build a good enough birds nest? If so, could be a bite from an Peruvian dick chigger.

Bee venom does not build up in your system. If you get stung enough times at once, or in a short period of time, your immune system can get sensitized. Next time you get stung, then you get a systemic reaction. I got stung 32 times when I ran over an inground yellow jacket nest. Next year I got stung once and had to go to the ER. I carry the pen now.

Bic or fountain?

Bic or fountain?

I like to carry my big Bic around with me. I even whip it out from time to time to show people. I like to show them how to hold it, where to stick it just right so it injects all of the fluid, don't want it going all over the place.
