What have you done to your bike today?

Only the front rotor showed up today so that got installed ā€¦.but then I noticed a few cornering knobs were going so I put a set of T7 Ground Controls on. Theyā€™re pretty much Recons anyway but at a friendlier price point. šŸ˜‡

Have had this old Chameleon for years & been thru many iterationsā€¦was bored & decided to turn it into a 69ā€™r today w/ an old Surly Instigator fork Iā€™ve had for eons.

Still have to throw some brakes on & may just pull the gears & go SS. Probably wont ride it muchā€¦but might be fun once in awhile.

Lmao. I was about to send Blue Mtn a message regarding their ropes course and noticed this message I sent in 2012. I mustā€™ve been mad.

Hi. Not exactly sure who the owner is anymore, but I would like this message to be passed on to someone that can actually make decisions about what happens to the park.

"I live about 20 min south of Milford, which gives me a 45 min drive to both Blue and Diablo. I, along with a whole lot of others at Diablo, are fed up with their lack of trail-building, parking, and other decisions. But, we have to deal with it because if we want to ride, we have to go to Diablo. I really do not want to buy Diablo's season pass this year, and would like to buy yours if you will be open. You guys have a nice mountain to mess with and by letting the trails sit there is not doing it any good. If the owner would give the go-ahead to open it for another year, I would love to come out and help with trail maintenance also. Well, good luck with trying to open it back up. Lots of riders would really appreciate it. --Tyler"

I havenā€™t been there since.

After my annual double age bday road ride Thursday I took today off to just relax and recover. Plus with the haze and humidity didnā€™t really feel like dealing with it.

I always check over the bike after a long ride and lucky I did this afternoon as I found the rear tire pretty much done.

Lucky I Already had a pair of Conti 5000s in ā€œcreamwallā€ in my stockpile from a 2 for 1 sale I got a few months back but these were pretty tight to get installed compared to the previous tanwall ones.

They do look much better to me on the bike really sets off against the black carbon wheels better.

Ready to ride tmw morning.
