What have you done to your bike today?

What tires are you going with?

I think Wicked Will Super Trail rear/Super Ground front 29x2.4". Considering Specialized Ground Control/Fast Trak T7 29x2.4" as well still depending on if Jim has one laying around.

The sharp rocks apparently make the mid tier casing necessary. I liked the Wicked Wills for the month or two I ran them a while back did well enough with BRR tests too. Small weight penalty compared to my normal XC setup (Ray/Ralph).

How do they help with leaf cover? I seem to lose grip around leafy corners and could use a change.

they dont, nothing helps with slippery leaf cover. its why i never put new tires on in the fall, its quite simply a loosing battle, ride the slide till the leaves are gone then enjoy the new rubber when it has something solid to hook up to.

After living in the the flatlands, finally going to the mountains with the old NC gang. Took a look at the FuelEX (sensitive viewers may find the picture disturbing). Yikes! Got some work to do

WTB Vigilante and Magic Mary’s are awesome in leaf cover.

I do use the Magic Mary year round now. I enjoy all it in all the seasons.
Rode the new Magic Mary Radial ultra soft up front the last few days. They are incredible. Make sure you are running WAY higher pressures as that is by design. I started at 30 and forgot to let any air out.

Still using with inserts on the Ebike?
Only on the rear.. But just the lighter Vittoria version. If you run the pressure as high as you should with radial, you should not need an insert though. If you try the same PSI you are running on regular tire they feel like total mush.

I've been happy with the Shredda Front and Shredda Rear in Ultra Soft compounds. I run pressures somewhere in the mid-20s, which seems to work for my weight (~195 in kit with a pack) and rim profiles (F: Reserve 30HD; R: Reserve DH). No inserts and no flats so far despite numerous audible rim-strikes when riding. I should check pressures more often, but it's just not a habit I've been able to get into.

What has really impressed me is the wear. I've been running these for over a year on the Heckler and while the knobs are rounded a bit, they still look like they have plenty of life left. They've definitely worn a lot better than other Schwalbe tires I've had over the years.

The biggest down-side to the Schwalbe Radials is they are heavy AF, which likely limits use to e-bikes or pure gravity rigs. I don't know if I'd want to pedal them up a climb without motor assist - at least not at my current fitness level...

I have the Alberts F/R on my Stevo, and F on my Epic Evo, haven't noticed a difference (previous with Nobby Nics in their place).

I am considering going to MM on the front for the Stevo, Alberts F/R for the EE for the fall/winter.
