what to do in the winter?

One season of winter riding has done wonders for me. You don't necessarily need expensive stuff. I started off with one pair of winter tights, and the rest were stuff from the closet - jeans, khakis, j.crew sweaters, ski gloves. My feet don't like cold, so I always have to use toe warmers.

name one person you know who over dresses🙄

basically get a winter bib or 2, an Under Armor winter shirt or 2, winter gloves but don't get the huge mittens cause it goes under 20 like 5 times a year in these parts of NJ, booties or winter shoes are good, something for the ears is a plus. over dress = sweat = remove a layer = sick as a bastard.

I have tons of Lake winter shoes on hand if you want some.

I 1st started with booties and then switched to the Lake Boots (thank you Santa). What a HUGE difference!!!!! If you can swing the big $$$$, they're worth it.

I wore these booties from Performance all winter with a pair of woolie boolie socks and feet stayed warm for multi-hour rides as cold as 15 degrees. they are on sale right now for $9 at Performance. they worked fine, but some swear by the winter shoes. if you get the booties - just make sure to order at least 2 sizes too big (eg, if youre a size 9 order size 11)

Fuck winter. 🙂

Lake Boots, couple different types of winter gloves, tons of layers, head covers, etc. I can't get warm.

I hate the cold. Glad other people can somehow manage yet no matter how much I try I can't do it. Riding in the snow is fun, I just can't keep warm.
