Did you order your usual shoe size? Bigger? Smaller? Thoughts? I bought a size up and it’s too big. I was planning on running bigger/double socks and they still would have been too big. So now I got my actual shoe size and think they still may be a bit big. I’m looking for others experience to help guide me.

My street shoe is a 10.5, normal mtb shoe is 44. I have size 45 Shimano winter shoes, size 45 Ragnaroks, and size 45 Wolvhammers. I don't really like the Wolvhammers and have only worn them a few times. Not sure if it's a fit issue or what, but I think they are just too big and bulky. I prefer normal winter shoes with toe warmers down to like 10-15 degrees and will only bust out the Wolvhammers in single digits.

I’ve got specialized defrosters, and while they are good, I usually get some kind of numb feet from the cold if it’s below 50. When it gets cold enough I run electric socks but that doesn’t help under freezing as it only get heats the toes and my heels go numb. I’m giving the Wolvhammers a shot. I agree, they are big and bulky but that may be what I need to keep my feet from being miserable. Now I just to find the best size.

I’ve been using Wolvhammers for the past 7 years and they are toasty and comfy, way better than the Sidi Storms I was using before. I wear size 48 Specialized MTB shoes and went for a 50 in the Wolvhammers. Fit perfectly.

Consistent with the size ratio 11.5 (45)Spec/Wolvhammer 47 that I have.

There are several versions of the same named boot over the years. Mine from around 2017 are rather narrow with a more pointed toe. One size up just works. So watch out for old stock as they vary.

I wear 42 shimano, 41.5 specialized shoes, and 42 Wolfhammers. The wolfhammers are just a tad big, but going smaller would be too small. I just wear a thin summer sock under ski socks and the fit is better. I think I've heard that wolfhammers from a few years ago size differently. Mine are 2 or 3 years old.

Yea, I don’t want to have to wear huge socks to make these fit better. I usually wear a medium weight wool sock or that paired with a summer sock. I get you don’t want the boots too tight, but I want to have a good feel of the pedals as well. We’ll see when the next pair gets delivered. Thank goodness for REI as I buy and return what doesn’t fit.
