Really enjoyed the exciting, nail biting game: Belgium vs. USA. Looked like it could have gone either way. USA almost tied it in final minutes of extra time.
USA goalie Tim Howard kept it close, otherwise Belgium would have rolled away with it.

Can't believe the USA had the chance to win it and then tie it after not doing anything offensively for 95% of the game.
Tim Howard is amazing, but we all knew that already. Can't believe how fragile the USA D looked.
Belgium deserves to be in QTRS but they need to improve their accuracy if they want to move past Argentina. Although, with Romero at goalie that might be actually pretty easy to do.
So my semis and finals can still happen and I can still become a millionaire....well not exactly, but I will have some extra beer money!!

Belgium clearly the better team. Donavan made a comment that until the US gets a world class player they will continue to struggle in the elimination rounds. I said it against Ghana that Bradley was weak in the mid. As for Howard; yeah he had an amazing game but the best thing he ever did in his life was introduce me to my wife😉
We knew Belgium were the better team coming in, but anything can happen. I wasn't really expecting them to win, but the what if's are hard when you come that close. Tim Howard did everything he could to keep us in the game, and Wondo could have won the game at the end of regulation. Then Dempsey almost tying it up near the end of extra time. I don't know what Bradley's problem was this world cup. He's been playing great up until recently.
This world cup has been great so far!! The US did play well, although Belgium clearly was dominating but Cameron played a great game yesterday and although Bradley was weak in this tournament I think Altidore's injury made him think he needed to run from 6 to 6 all the time. Can't wait to see what this team looks in the coming years!

Yesterday's match they looked tired and disorganized, it seemed like they were playing a man down for most of the game.
Would have been sweet if Wondo had closed it out in regulation.
And yeah- Bradley- throughout the tournament, he just made me nervous every time he got the ball.
That said, he did serve up a sweet ball to Green.
As the man said- now to enjoy the games with no stress...

Still don't fully understand the game/rules and it can get a tad boring watching the games. Definitely need to stop the fake injuries when a guy is barely tapped and is writhing in 'pain'. We mountain bike and take bigger hits all the time and get right back up and ride out.
Anyway....Obviously was rooting for USA to advance, they had a good tournament so I'm proud. Argentina is my team in the work pool so I'm pulling for them to win it all.

Looks like these 4 teams haven't played exceptional soccer, but as "big" teams do, they always find a way to win. Probably Netherland's had the toughest schedule yet and they have played better across the 5 games than the other 3 teams, so it is about time they lift the trophy. Runner ups last world cup, I wouldn't mind, except then I don't get the $$$$ 😡

I am watching the Germany vs. Brazil game on ESPN online and I wanted to type something here about it, but I keep missing all the goals every time I switch to type here. It is a blood bath. It is a tragedy for the shell-shocked fans.
