Again my team continues to disappoint me. Being the 'main' team or the U20.

Now I find out they are sending the U23 team to the GOLD CUP next month 😡

That is why I was laying low, until this:

Wait, what? I didn’t even know that a vagina could be sprained. But apparently that’s what happened to Elise Thorsnes, a women’s soccer player from Norway. The injury is so severe that she will probably have to sit out the Women’s Euro Championship.

The good news? While we feel sorry for her pain, we’re happy she posted a picture of injury:

Just like any other injury, apparently ice does the trick. (Or is that a heat pack? I don’t know, I’m distracted.)



Busy month (June) with Confederations and U20 World Cup.

Nice semifinal matches - BRAZIL-URUGUAY & SPAIN-ITALY. I'm taking BRA & SPA. And taking SPA to win it all, and complete their colleciton of trophies. This is the only official FIFA trophy they do not have.

I was beginning to think this thread wouldn't come back. US and Mexico are both screwed! Although I still think Mexico makes it out of the first round at least...

I'm probably just getting my hopes up, but I'm actually feeling a little better about the US now. I never want to wish ill on others, but a Portugal without Ronaldo is a beatable Portugal. Sure Mexico lost to them at the end, but that was a totally winnable game for them. They are currently saying he should be ready for the second game at the latest (crap), but he will doubtfully be 100%. Maybe if he is only 50% then he will be defendable by our defense. Plus the US beating Nigeria, eventhough they didn't look that strong. I know friendlies are meaningless, but after their first game against Azerbaijan, things are at least looking up a little bit. If we don't beat Ghana though, it's over.

Good that you are getting your hopes up...why not? but you didn't have the disastrous qualification process that "el Tri" did. I am very disgusted by the whole thing and I didn't want the team to qualify. But now they made it and 95% of the country forgot about everything and are loving the team again.

USA- Ghana - winnable
USA- Germany, without Reus...mmhh...very tough still
USA- Portugal, without Ronaldo...doable

One of my pools, I have both USA & Mexico only with 1 point...a tie vs the African teams. (spreadsheet attached)

I thought about doing a pool here, but we barely get enough people for American Football....besides, everyone here except 4 us are here for this ---->

soooooooooooooooooo....I didnt watch the game as I was at a trade show...I heard bad calls in favor of Brazil, but I dont think that would've made a difference, not sure...anyway, seems like it is all going according to plan in group A

Brazil definitely caught a break. Shitty refereeing continues in an age were there is no good reason crucial decisions like those have to be botched. I don't like much about American football but I think they have a pretty good implementation of video replay.

Defense and Goalie!....No surprise why Casillas wasn't playing during league play, he should be on the bench, very poor effort on goal 3, that ball should be his at all costs, and dont get me started on goal 4. I was expecting a 1-0 game either way but was pleasantly surprised to see so many goals. 1st goal from RVP what a beauty! and the 5th from Robben, classic counter...and dont you know you cant give Robben his left side...how many times he is going to keep doing that, dont you know all ready. He should be blocked/forced to his right so he can't shoot!!!! otherwise you pay 9 out of 10 times.

Couldnt watch all of Mexico's game, as I was at a show/car/airport. Caught the end and the goal, and then thanks to DirectTV was able to watch Spain-Netherlands on plane.

Apparently Mexico played really well, from what I heard. And I do agree with the rest of the world, those 2 goals were NOT offside.

Interesting game today England-Italy...not sure who to pick here, so maybe a 1-1 tie.

1st called offside was wrong; second offside was indeed offside, being a ref that is a tough call but RA got it right. No offside from corner but the second touch off head is the difference.

Italy and England good game 1-1 is a good scoreline.

It wasn't a pass back from a defensive player; that's why defense steps out after kick.
Either way a tough call to make as a RA but they are at the top of there profession.
