im fucking nervous and was avoiding the topic....thanks 🙄 hahah

All teams in CONCACAF play to beat MEXICO, so even if they suck, they bring the extra just cuz "EL TRI" is hated by everybody, kinda like the Yankees.

Im still not convinced about Chicharito. I prefer the stronger/bigger De Nigris or Oribe Peralta. Both who weren't called to the team this time. Instead he has useless 33yr old Omar Bravo for another stint. (he tried and never made an impact on the National team).

I know they play in Mexico City, but under a lot of pressure after 2 ties. If they dont win tonight things CAN get complicated :scared:

About Costa Rica, thats absurd...Im glad complaint was thrown out....

BARCELONA @ PSG (tie)

&

JUVE @ BAYERN (Bayern)

yes, I refuse to talk about last week's game...carry on...

not to 'toot my own horn' but I got my predictions correct!

Talk about Dominance (or DEEP pockets!)... Real, Barca and Bayern back in the semis (as they did last year).

...and somewhat of 'luck' for Real to skip Barca until the final (if they advance), although Real has had the edge over Barca recently, I am sure it is the last team they want to face.

Well, as I mentioned before, we could still see an ALL Spanish or ALL German final.

I am rooting again for BAYERN!!

Hey! New to the thread but not the site...I just wanted to pitch an idea, any of you interested in a nice ride and a soccer game afterwards! I haven't played in close to a year. Mountain biking takes priority of course, but I have been itching to play...let me know thanks!

not a bad idea, but it is hard enough to find time to MTB, I can't imagine adding an extra hour or two for a futbol game afterwards....unless i send my family to Mexico for a month or so :hmmm:those were the days

continuing on a soccer note, since you brought it up...I'm pissed, my team back home lost its first game of the season, thus ending one short of the record of most games without a loss in a season 😡😡

something to cheer us up....

Headed out for a quick ride, must avoid social media and internet until I can get back to my DVR! Força Barça!

Based on how tight their last two Champion's League matchups were, I don't see them getting past Bayern. I'll be rooting for them, but I don't think their defense is gonna be able to keep up. Hopefully Messi will be at full strength.

Holly $hit!!!

Who would've thought!??! I knew that in both matches anybody could win, but the dominance of the German teams is something that I never expected.

Both German teams DESTROYED the Spanish teams.

Lewandoski's performance was one for the ages...I think Bayern already hired him for next year, along with coach Pep Guardiola....Bayern's dominance in Europe is just getting started.

Looks like we will get the ALL-GERMAN final.

still rooting for BAYERNNNNN!

I'd love to go to one of these games!

Yeah both games were pretty crazy. I fully expected Bayern to tear Barcelona's defense apart, but that was worse than I expected. And as if they didn't have enough problems in the back, they lose their left back because he throws a ball in Robben's face? What an idiot. I don't really follow the Bundesliga at all, so I didn't know anything about Dortmund and figured Madrid would get the win there. That guy Lewandowski just destroyed them though. That was a really impressive hat trick, especially the second and third goals. The second was perfectly placed, and the third was just a stunner. Madrid did get an away goal, so a 3-0 win in the second leg would see them on to the final, but they'd have to figure out how to stop Dortmund's offense first.

As for Bayern's off season pickups:

Pep Guardiola, yes.
Mario Gotze, yes.
Robert Lewandowski, maybe? Bayern says no, Lewandowski's agent says yes:

Did anyone see RVP's second goal of his hat trick in the game where Man U won the Premier league? It was pretty awesome.

For all 2 of you that were wondering!

YES, BAYERN WON and is the KING OF EUROPE!

What a great game! Thanks to Neuer, Bayern was able to prevail, settle and start managing the game. Too bad Robben only uses his right food to stand (I got to credit Wilks for that one), but sheesh!! he had opportunities early on that could've made the game less of a nail-biter for Bayern fans. At the end, the better team won and was able to lift the cup on the 3rd try in the last 4 years.

CHEERS!

Was really pulling for Dortmund in this match. Now at least i have another year for Arsenal not to win anything again, but beating out scum for the last Champions league spot is something i guess.

It was a really exciting game from a neutral point of view. Dortmund dominated early, but didn't get anything to show for it. I find it amazing that everyone knows Robben has no right foot. He always cuts back to his left, every single time. And yet somehow he is still able to score goals and be a top class player. Everyone knows what he is going to do, and he can still do it successfully.

Anyway, in other news, it looks like Neymar signed with Barcelona. If the Spanish media is to be believed, they got him for less than $40 million.
