Hey all,

New rider here from Central Jersey. Picked up a Giant XTC2 last summer and joined in on the fun with some friends. Only been out a few times though due to work (among other things) demanding my social / personal life from me.

Anyhow, things have slowed a bit and I'm starting to feel lifelike again. So I'm here looking to jump on some riding opportunities, meet some people, learn a bunch, and share what I've learned with others.

Next time I'm off I'm hoping to get down to Allaire for the Tuesday beginner ride.

welcome and yes please do define Central Jersey as some here are confused as to where central begins and ends 🙂 (myself included)

NORTH of the Raritan River? that would be the northern border of Central Jersey, dude....north of 195, south of 78 would be my rough definition.
And even 195 is too far north by about 10 miles.

I'd agree with 78 as the north/central line. Actually make it north/south. Anything south of 78 is the Pine Barrens right?

Agreed entirely. But, if I must define - I'd say roughly north of Trenton and south of Union. That's kinda big, but hey, central is central.

I'm in Middlesex county - that, you truly have to admit is pretty damn in the middle.

Guys, ive already covered this. North of 80 is North Jersey. Between 80 and 195 is central. South of 195 is south jersey.
 
I stand corrected.Per Wikipedia...North Jersey being above the Raritan River,Central being below the Raritan River but above RT 195,South Jersey below Rt 195.So looks like I live in north jersey while I thought is was central jersey.Now this brings us to where is western jersey and eastern jersey?I have a friend in Lopactcong he is in western jersey I think.I never heard of anyone admitting to living in eastern jersey.This is the buzz in my office.We are now going to have to change the annual report,it says we are in central jersey.We also have to change our directions to truckers.They are told we are in central jersey.Again we are in north jersey.No wonder it takes so long for materials to arrive.Later I have to go to the print shop.
