Things that make you frown :(
Gotta give JCPL credit it was back in within about an hour and a half.www.mtbnj.com
Well my son bit it about 50’ from the top of the green trail on the first run. He’s only 7 so we spent about an hour on the pump track.
he will “never go up that mountain again it must be like a black diamond or something”. I blame myself though for not going in front of him. I just thought he could handle it
Yeah he got booted on one of the little kickers a the top and that was the begging of the end.I'm pretty sure it's the world's toughest green flow trail. Very tight, no room for error. Double-double jumps everywhere.
There is another thread about it in the Nassau section with various opinions.

Was there last weekend with Will (12). Had him go down slowly the first time, to see what it was like. There's a jump towards the bottom on the right side, I think after a left turn, that if you hit at the wrong angle, has you aimed straight at a tree. He rolled over the jump with a little too much speed and nailed the tree. He's fine. Second time down I told him to make sure he stayed left and not hit that one. Overall, it's really loose and rocky, which doesn't inspire confidence in the younger riders.... Still had fun, and will go back.Well my son bit it about 50’ from the top of the green trail on the first run. He’s only 7 so we spent about an hour on the pump track.

He’ll come back around. I think every dad has made That mistake. Did he have fun at the pump track?Well my son bit it about 50’ from the top of the green trail on the first run. He’s only 7 so we spent about an hour on the pump track.

Thanks, I am glad that I emphasized him wearing his full face or it could have been worse. Yes he did have fun, we stayed another hour or so after the crash. He’ll come back around. I think every dad has made That mistake. Did he have fun at the pump track?
It actually took me by surprise too...i expected a little more width and less jumps. Still fun, I didn't even attempt the blue trail, just rode the green. There was one specific berm that I kept almost going over because it was tight, sharp, and appeared suddenly. Also didnt expect them to be so short lol.Well my son bit it about 50’ from the top of the green trail on the first run. He’s only 7 so we spent about an hour on the pump track.

Was still pretty roughWas the pump track resurfaced? Last I was there with my little guy early summer, there were tons of sharp rocks sticking out of the track everywhere.
Rained very hard about 5am, hence I posted trail closure. Sounds like it wasn’t too bad.A little slick on the roots and rocks today but no mud (guess it rained last night?). Anywho, a low bridge on the other side of the road:

I was there yesterday mid-morning. Trails were perfect. I'm in Lebanon and we didn't get any rain yesterday evening/this morning. Strange...Nassau trails closed due to standing water/weather? Hope they open soon- I am off this week and getting a ride in there is on the list!
