Wonder what the percentage of people go to the hospital for something other than Covid,
but then check positive for Covid on admission even though they have no symptoms, so then they're counted as a Covid statistic.

Huh? Like someone goes in for an appendectomy, tests positive before intake but has no symptoms and gets admitted into a COVID wing?

That feels like something that basically would never happen.

they have been indemnified -

This actually dates back to the 80's. And full FDA approval mainly means the vaccine can be mandatory in more settings, although that appears to be already happening.

At this point not getting vaccinated is just like driving without a seatbelt but when you crash your ragdoll body is hitting 20 other people.

If you smoke or drink you already have solid information that those have negative impacts and saying a vaccine is dangerous is like telling an expecting mother to have a drink for anxiety.

I'm not you and don't know your motivation but people like you are the reason we're still fucked. Let me know if you have to go to the hospital for covid I'll set up a hospital tent just for you where we can Google your best course of action. Google got you this far might as well go the rest of the way with it.
Considering I have never googled anything regarding covid, that statement can be thrown out.

I think we all need to continue sanitizing and practicing social distancing.

Problem is, a good majority of those not getting vaccinated believe that there is no illness being spread. That it is a ploy, if you will. These same people do not wear masks, do not wash their hands after using the restroom, and gather within confined spaces. One might say that these are mainly republicans, however that is just a guess. This is where the problem lies. Not simply the choice to not be vaccinated yet, but the lack of those other three steps.

It's currently about 25% of the positive cases. I just saw this in the news recently. So, about 1/4 of the cases right now would not have been diagnosed were it not for some other issue.

Of course it does - that videoconference from FL I posted last week hospital administrators said exactly that - some hospitals had 25% of their total "covid patients" in for something else but happen to test positive. Everyone gets tested at admission.

Urban myth. Transmission via surfaces/touch is extremely remote. I never washed my hands any more than I ever did. This is a respiratory disease.

So if this is a proxy for the rest of the population (which it isn't), think how bad it really is in fl.
And he cherry-picked that number, cause in some hospitals it is approaching 0.

He also said a significant percentage was vaccinated.
which is what you say, rather than the number, when the number sounds insignificant.

another good word is "reportedly"

IDK even what you want anymore. I don't love this name but I was out of creativity that day.

I put the name change in it said it needed approval
You recently requested to change your username to Dr Google and this is currently awaiting approval by a moderator.

If only you went with my original request but you had to play your game, at this rate someone is going to join with one of my old names and add to the confusion.

Just because you check “yes” on the form that asks, “Have you tested positive for coronavirus?” does not add you to the statistics. I’m pretty sure the CDC is going off actually lab results and not hospital admission forms.

Also, hospitals don’t get more funding and more money if they report extra positive covid results. Another FoxNews bullshit theory.

I think the scenario was, I broke my leg and go to the hospital. Before I’m admitted they make me take a Covid test. Unbeknownst to me, I have covid (on top of a broken leg!). I’m admitted and become part of the admitted for Covid statistic.
