Going Long and Hard.

Training days are back. Spent last week getting back into a rhythm, was surprisingly easy to flip the switch. With my cancelled 600k I took the weekend to put my ducks in a row.

Even though I have a bunch of events through October, my ITI Program doesn't start until November. Works out well because it gives me time to write my plan and 2 months 2 dial in my Nutrition. This time around I'm searching for Professional help in that department. As a Veggie I feel like I have to pay closer attention to things and plan out a little farther in order to make good choices, I've also become Lactose Intolerant during Covid, which is weird, not sure what that's about. Other than Honey and the occasional egg, I've been eating about 90% Vegan.

Anywhoo, Rusty.

my wife was told your metabolism changes roughly every 7 years and allergies/sensitives change/appear/disappear, and also that a lack of exposure to lactose can make a mild (maybe unnoticable) intolerance worse . . . . ymmv just sharing in case something clicks

I've heard this as well. I used to be allergic to Penicillin but am not anymore. I've also become more reactive to pollen and never had that in the past. Eating Honeycomb and Raw Honey has taken care of that at least. I swapped to using Honey as a syrup alternative a few years back anyway so I just swapped that to local raw stuff from Farmer's Markets and hipster stores.

I'm with you on the local honey supplement, but beet root capsules are crazy. I try to avoid all oxalates.

I started with Rocket Red pre-workout originally but it gave me the shakes something fierce. I've tried a few powders but they all taste like dirt so I ended up with these capsules. I don't think they do as much as they're hyped up to, but I notice recovery might be a little better.

If I ate that I would pee straight kidney stones!

TIL that honey isn't vegan. New brain wrinkle 😁

So do you eat the honeycomb like rice krispie treats or as an ingredient to something else?

I ain't Vegan. Very specifically because of Honey.

Sometimes I eat a little butter sliced piece by itself, or spread it on Waffles.

Every day.

"Hey, do those taste like real Chicken?"

Me - "I have absolutely no idea, I haven't eaten meat since I graduated HIGH SCHOOL"

The meatballs and Italian sausage in sauce with some pasta passes the taste test. Tacos with Gardein ground "beef" work well too. We try not to consume it too much as it is processed. We're not totally plants, just reduced the amount of meats. Fish is still on the table often.
