Have you ever set up the stampede pass tubeless?
You knew exactly what I was talking about. They sell it as a Gravel Race bike, but the BB is 14mm higher than the Diverge or Aethos. It definitely kept It's CX bloodline

Actually, I was bringing it up because I still like the idea of the higher bottom bracket/steeper angles of a true cross bike, even for a bike that's going to be ridden on pavement/gravel/dirt roads/etc.
That is an interesting subject, what do credit for the snap? I mean, I get that generally speaking it's the geometry, but more in details what aspect of the geometry and why makes it 'snappy'. I'm genuinely interested in the subject. It has a snap that I've not felt in any Gravel Bike yet.

Thanks for the clarification. Makes sense. I'd like to think that's why of all my bikes the SS El Mariachi is the one I enjoy riding the most, even though the real snappy thing on it was the carbon cranks interface when it separated 🙁It's a mix of Geo and Frame Layup. Generally a steeper HT and shorter wheelbase translate into a quicker feeling bike. Couple that with a frame that's stiff in the right spots to transfer rider input and BOOM, snappy. With 1x drivetrains allowing for huge tire clearance and super short stays it's all coming together.
