19 of 20+ 1 to Go!
I was feeling really sore and tired yesterday and while I had several chances to ride an hour because the storms didn’t materialize I decided to rest because of todays plans.
So today was supposed to be a father and son MTB ride with my 15 yr old Zach (some of you have met him). But unfortunately he woke up with 101 fever out of literally nowhere at 7:30 this morning before the ride. COVID home test was negative.
So this left me with a tough decision to stay or go, and if I go I didn’t want to necessarily ride in the woods alone.
So once I made sure he was comfortable and the wife was up I decided to jump on the gravel bike instead even though It’s not shifting 100% correct it was my only option to get a good ride in today.
Hit the Columbia trail again this time end to end all the way to HB and back from Flanders. Took some climbs on the way back and made a wrong turn somehow and missed the gravel climb at Teetertown road but ended up on some other roads I knew so no harm done. Just more hills.
Overall felt great and while I would have rather done a long road ride today, the cloudy cool air in the trail was refreshing even if the scenery is very familiar. And yes I killed the lantern fly.
One more day to the goal line!
