Anyone good with vinyl siding repair?

I have a corner of my house where the siding panels were offset by one "course" for...I have no idea why, but I pulled some of it to add some exterior insulation while I was digging around the foundation to replace some pavers. Now the mismatch is really obvious.

Wondering if there's a good way of patching that single bottom row without shifting everything down. There's an odd shaped window in that section that would mean replacing a lot of the siding and cutting new pieces to fit around it.

Customer had an issue with a clogged drain in an apartment. She said she paid $800 to get the drain cleared. Not sure the whole story but it seemed like the office told her it's her problem prior to her getting the work done.

Short of something grossly negligent is anything on the tenant to repair?

i think it depends if it was in a common pipe or local to her unit. seems quite a bit for a clog tho.

After having more lightbulbs go out or flicker in the kitchen even after changing to LED bulbs I finally decided to do the recess can swap to these conversion fixtures.

Super easy to remove the old trim and springs and slide these into the side clips.
Had 6 of these for $65 from HD. Slightly brighter than previous in soft white at 75w but we have these on a dimmer so it’s not an issue.

The downside is a created a new to do list item which is to paint the ceiling 👎🏻 The space above the kitchen is attic space but the cut outs for the recess can seems to discolor the ceiling below it after 16 years I guess.

At least now it look the same without different type bulbs sticking out of the can.

its in a kitchen so the color ring is the clean surface underneath or the previous coat of paint that was on the ceiling if the cans werent removed to paint.

either way, looks good.

I was going to build a retaining wall for my soon to be flower bed/shrubs. But life and time has gotten in my way… been pondering on hiring a landscaper, does anyone know a good landscaping company in Morris County ?IMG_2206.jpeg

Kitchen was gutted to the studs 16 years ago for a full renovation and painted then by me before any fixtures were installed. The old trim rings haven’t been removed since the.

The discoloration around the cans is mostly because the attic above is exposed for the back half of the can letting all kinds of dust settle onto the sheet rock. Each can has a dull square around it that’s not really visible until you dim the lights and when I took the trim off. Looks worse than it is.

also remember paint fades over time (16 years is alot of time) due to exposure to uv ect ect, so that lighter colored ring is probably the OG paint color and the rest of the ceiling is 'faded'
