I had some friends in college that only liked the skinny asparagus.
 
Taking a break from the holiday madness to settle in and enjoy ourselves.

I know I nailed the cook because I had to butterfly @MrsManic’s and throw it back in the pan.
She doesn’t know that the flesh of your enemies tastes best rare.

Any folks doing the feast of seven fishes for Xmas Eve? I was planning to do it but then I just ran out of time and really didn't find any intriguing recipes. So switching to the old standby reverse sear prime rib. Long line this morning at the Lusty Lobster in Highlands for seafood. What are you serving tonight?PXL_20241224_152621781.MP.jpg
 
Grass fed bone in rib eye from my 1/4 cow purchase from Beaver Brook Ranch. For those that say they can't taste the difference, I don't think you've tried hard enough. Might be the best meat I've had. Even the ground beef plain is delicious.

Montreal Steak Seasoning. Was absolutely fantastic.
