Tariffs...what to make of them.

Well, Canada is going to sell its gas and oil to Europe now. Seems your next stop at the pump is going to be more expensive. I am constantly surprised how very intelligent people will cherry pick facts to fit their views. I have always been an outsider looking in. That has always allowed me to look at all of the facts, even the ones I don’t like. If you think trump has any goal other than making himself richer, you have not been paying attention. People looking to do good things don’t fire the anti corruption people. They don’t pardon cop beaters, they don’t push the justice department drop charges against the nyc mayor…. Stop listening to what trump says, pay attention to what trump does.

I would say that I have a hard time believing that people who voted for trump don't at least have some implicit racial biases.

Area man uses a single data point to determine roughly half the country is racist. And we’ll go to Albania Morrisette for follow up…

Who are you? I dunno, you don't seem to want to discuss anything political, but you have no problem coming in and calling me stupid because I don't want to argue with your semantics? You probably support trump if you are enjoying watching this administration come in and make all these cuts, yes? And your belief that if you can't find some good in what trump is doing then you're not worth having a discussion with? That's all I can recall of your posts.

What did you win? One kickass positive story, which is exactly what you asked for. I'm impressed that you picked up on the "petty" part, which was my subtle nod to one or more of the key subjects of the bigger story playing out in real life. OK, you weren't looking for examples of big wins, just WINS in all caps and some more lower case wins. Probably not gonna find any in this thread. Maybe try hockey?

You have noted or inferred that Trump Supporters are White Supremacists multiple times in this thread.

You have also noted that it was “uneducated white people” that had him elected in this thread - which data from a left lining organization was provided to you showing the swing was not that at all.

I think if you replaced the name “Trump” with any other you would be noted as a racist and a bigot. Actually, some may apply that now.

Not a good look.

Again - our discussion is going to slow.

If a person never admits that they are wrong, it is very difficult to learn and improve.

I would say that not all tRUMP supporters are racists. My observation is that all of the racists I know are MAGA. Further, the most blatant racists that I know are the most fervent tRUMP fans. Prolly just a coincidence?

And holy crap, capitalizing a word means it's a BIG versus a small inference? As opposed to EMPHASIS? I said it once I'll say it again, talk about reading what you want it to say versus what's down on paper(screen).

We are (at least were) talking about policy decisions the President is making - and we know we won't all agree.
The merits of the decision, the motivation behind the decision.

We are not discussing stolen elections, secret email servers, gerrymandering, hanging chads, notebook computers, fake electors, porn stars, birth certificates, etc.

reel it back in. quickly. maybe even go back and edit some of your posts after a nice night sleep and a cup of joe (lol?)

Your recall skillz are terrible. I didn't say someone who can't find good in the current admin is not worth having a discussion with. I said that I would rather respect both of our personal time because since I don't think in absolutes (100% this, 0% that, everything is this, nobody is that, etc.) our "discussion" would go nowhere.

And since then in this thread that's exactly where it's gone. I can't keep re-explaining these basics. Pls do infer out of this post what you want to believe versus what I am saying.

Haha yeah, I think I gotta try out that ignore feature, save some time and effort and not get sucked in again. Happy I lasted 30+ pages or so before caving.
