2025 XC MTB Season Discussion Thread (Schedule in 1st Post)

Leaning towards registering for the early 8am start for Endurance 45+ class to get some saddle time. Bummed there is no SS class for Endurance or Cat 1.

I was going to ask, what made the race so bad that you perpetually skipped it?

According to Strava, I raced '15, '16, and '17.

Several reasons I can think of
1. It was early in the season and not in race shape. My fitness is excellent and looking towards another good race season on SS only.
2. Usually really cold. Weather looks decent.
3. Very crowded in the classes. Since it's not an H2H race, expecting numbers to be lower.
4. The multiple mud holes of a ST trail. I've been informed have been "fixed".
5. The 1 climb. As @Jeremy mentioned above, not included anymore.
6. I ride in the Pine Barrens all winter. It's 1 more day riding in the Pine Barrens?

Just looked at the "who's registered" tab. Looking like a good field. I see a couple of familiar fast names, should make for a good humbling!
In Endurance 45+? I see 3 familiar names which includes @Jeremy, a team mate, and someone I did all my Pine Barrens long rides with over the winter. I'm just looking for saddle time and testing the fitness level.

I'm under 45 so was primarily looking at the endurance open list but last year all the endurance classes started together so it'll only take about 10 seconds to not have a clue who you're racing against.
