What have you done to your bike today?

Fixes the main issue of four bar suspension alignment that plagues many. Especially Orbeas Wilds in particular.

How do you like your Hunt wheels? Curious about their hubs, as there's not much info on them. Considering the Carbon gravel 35
I really like them. Yes, the hubs are a little noisy compared to other brands when not pedaling, also the engagement is good. So, the price point is good. I am looking at wheelset for my rim brake road bike. I can get a new set for the same price as used Zipps.

New whip prep-
Swapped stock grips for Odi Rogues.

Got em on all my flat bar bikes, if they made a drop bar version, I’d run them too.
I actually bring a pair for my rental bike when on vacation.

Put on some cheap flats for the “getting to know you” period.
Got a pair of NIB XTs waiting for this puppy.
(My last pair of pre-pandemic sale stash, from when you could get them for under $60 on sale)

Ready for take off

Brake bedding and maiden voyage later today….

Not my bike, but I’ve finally made some progress on the build for my 8yo daughter, with some help from her too. We were supposed to do the whole thing together but you know how those things go! It’s still a win since I’ve sparked some interest in how the bike works.

Just need a tube for the front and then it’s ready to go!

Picked this up from @extremedave over the winter and I slowly pulled together the parts to build it up with quality stuff and try to make it a bit lighter. I think it knocked off 3+lbs in the end. While not earth shattering, for a 50kb kid that’s a lot. Plus it adds disc brakes, a solid drivetrain and a real fork. Should all be worthwhile, assuming my younger daughter will also ride it.

Not today, but on Sunday. The Rekon 2.25 that was on my geared HT got pretty worn. I have another, brand new in the tire stash. Rather than install it, looked in the pile of spare tires and found this. I think it had about 3 rides on it before I got a sidewall tear and removed it at least 3yrs ago. Put it on with some fresh Stan's sealant and placed the bike on the garage floor with the tire down to allow the sealant to do it's job. Was still holding pressure this morning, so I went out for my morning dawn patrol ride.

What's old is new again.

Reminds me, need to also pull the bottom bracket out.

Got most of the parts to build it, waiting on a few things....im changing it from mullet to 27.5 which I think will work better for him at 5ft tall.

so my son has 155mm ignite cranks which use a 30mm axle....similar to race face, so I use their PF bearings.....While I dont have any problems with press fit BBs in general...the way im doing it....30mm axle, small shell means small bearing...so they just dont last that long....a season or so.

Actually, I think I have a brand new RF 30mm PF BB somewhere in the parts bean, came new with a crankset. It's yours if you want it, I'm a BSA BB for life...
