6 Mile Run Conditions

^^ Jason you are the MAN....awesome job.

I can't get MCPC to let me wield anything more than a bow saw  It's gonna be a while in Morris County

Awesome!!

Rode this morning (1 and half full loops) and the trails are in great shape!! All of those new bridges are really cool, and that arched one on Red is a work of engineering. Under the trees trails were tacky and fast, in the fields is where I picked up a few extra pounds😀

Thanks Jay!! It was great to run into you on the trail with your TINY baby on your back. Happy Thanksgiving all...

Has it been warm enough or is it still in freeze-thaw? Planning for Saturday morning.

freeze thaw kinda. it was foggy as hell - had lots of frost this morning that probably got soupy when it unfroze, that probably dried up by now.

the spots in the shade are moist! not bad tho.
when on blue, take the short-cut over the bridge that cuts out
the area that had the tree down earlier this year. it is not
pleasant at this time.....i'll try to find my map reference.

saw the blue seven out of HGC....nice! was out there today with a couple kids - one on bmx (ugh)

Conditions around noon today???

Looking to ride today, do you think the extended cold air in the morning will eliminate the excess thaw / mud?

Thaw/mud

Most of the places I ride that have it, I think it's more of the sun warming things up. But it is a little wind today to dry things up.

Blue trail blocked in B2

Here is the reference to the tree that was down early summer. from this point back to the merge of the shortcut is not passable due to multiple trees down. going to need some serious tlc..

snip

here is the location of the downed tree

it is 0.3 miles from the service entrance on blackwells mills - ride up the western, field-side trail, turn left into the woods - go left at the T, over the bridge and another 50ish feet.

if it helps - it is at the info icon

I rode with a buddy on the 20th. We cleared the last of the trees down. Even smoothed out some areas where the impaling branches were. There was just 1 more big one that our hand saws couldn't do. so we rode around it. Otherwise we didn't have to get off the bikes once. Great ride

Had a great ride on great conditions today with AM and her husband. A good primer for Xmas shopping later today.

We can take this on this week.
