6 Mile Run Conditions

trails were in great shape. got our wheels down before 7:30 this morning. rode until about 11.

a little bit of the freeze-thaw thing going on. some portions were getting slick the last hour or so.

my recommendation (not a new one for 6MR): get there early. get yo ass out of bed and get there early. 😉

just a lot more fun riding when the trails are good-and-frozen (rather than slick)

Those trails got a lot of love from you guys... You should be proud of them and thank you... Had a blast today with Wonderturtle...

BTW... I wasnt sure if if was you Arwens mom the one i talked about how much we loved full suspension at the lot but now i know! Nice talking to you guys!🙂

If you had the nice orangey bike and I was on a black one, then yup it was me, us... yeah 😀

So nice talking to others that understand the love for squishy bikes

Please post up it you want to lend a hand on a Weekday AM.

My schedule is all over the place, but I have a ton of things I want to work on before the grond freezes.

Headed out this AM to tune up the Blue trail reroutes closest to Canal road.

Should be out from 9:30 till noonish

That re-route happened fast. I did 2 loops yesterday. First loop, that section was still broken. Next loop, THERE'S A NEW TRAIL!!

Nice.

-Jim.

I am pretty stoked on that new section. I could have easily just cut out the trees and kept the old stuff there.

This was more fun.

Go when it is below freezing and it will be frozen, when it starts to warm it thaws. This weekend is gonna be sloppy straight up.

Got stuck in a few spots canal side (very muddy). Turned around and hit the tow path for a few miles which is dry. (Yesterday afternoon)

crunchy goodness before 930. Slop started at about 10 in spots. By 1030 tires covered in 5 lbs of mud and leaves 😱

Hoping to do my debut mtb ride here tomorrow afternoon if I can swing the time and pick up my new bike.

If someone sees some clown with a grey beard lying in a ditch next to a crashed lime green Salsa spearfish, it's me. 😉

Based on the bikes I have seen today, it is an absolute mud fest out there.

Not even fun.
