22-23 Ski and Snowboard thread

I'm thinking 4 has to be spelt-out, four.
But that risks the homophone mistake of for or fore.

I'm still trying to figure out where Bill was going to put the S?

Things are beginning to look bleak here. Definitely need snow, or at least cold temps to get the guns fired up. Day 3 in the books though.

Took Boy Wonder to Mt Peter today for his first real ski lesson. He was able to snowplow down the magic carpet bunny hill on his second run. Then with turns on the 3rd run so that went better than I expected. Wouldn't ski more than his 1 hour lesson though and whined the whole time about his boots. I'm a snowboarder so I guess I can't relate but he's never worn anything other than Nikes in his entire 5 years of life, so I guess I get it.

Last day at Tremblant to ring in the new year. It rained for 36 hours straight but the conditions today were actually quite good, save for the ice at the very top of the hill.

Losing some snow but nothing like Killington looks like right now.

You love to ski, you have the ikon or epic. You’ve only skied the east coast. Get your ass out west, make it happen. Best conditions in a decade. Its amazing how much snow Utah has. It’s less than $500, RT, from Newark to SLC. Do yourself a favor and make it happen.

The life of a controller who has a calendar year-end does not allow for this easily, unfortunately. When the kids have a school break is usually when I’m busiest.
 
We are off to Utah at the end of next month. While soon, it's a long time for things to change.

Vermont this coming weekend. Hopefully this weather event stays as snow and does not turn to rain.

I haven’t had much ice this year at all on the weekends. Pleasantly surprised, and we get there first thing in the morning. At night I’m sure it could glaze over if it gets cold enough.

BTW - I took the snowboard this time. Holy crap did I get beat up. Wanted to give Shane some pointers and caught an edge way too many times. Hit the ground hard a couple times. My linking of turns heel side to toe side just completely disappeared.
 
so i made an attempt today to defer my ikon pass until next year given my injury....they told me to go fuck a cat in so many words 🙂 oh well.
