25-26 Ski and Snowboard Thread

I highly recommend Ischgl/Samnaun (in Austria/Switzerland) as a ski destination. It's part of Ikon, not overrun at all, huge terrain with Zermatt vibes but much less expensive. A bit of a trek to get to, but we had a really great week there.

They got a few inches last night so the first half of the day was good. Then I was just skiing the edges of the trails where all the snow remained. Was totally empty so it didn’t get too scraped off. No wind, just fog after lunch.

Jiminy Peak. Anyone ski there? Tips, tricks, opinions? We chose it because it's not too far and there's daycare for my 2yo. Planning a family trip in a couple weeks. 8yo will be in ski school or take lessons at least. My wife and I will be happy just getting on the slopes for a few hours.

It's all right in front of you. I went there a long tome ago with my son and another kid and his dad. We had a great time, perfect for young kids. Bring a bathing suit, that indoor outdoor pool is cool.

Yep. What @roc said. Great place for families. We took our daughter there when she was 5. Good ski school and enough terrain for your 8 year old (that was my sons age then).
 
Thinking of going to Blue tomorrow. This is what it looks like today at 1:00. 😳. Hoping that It’s not like this on the Monday of a holiday weekend? 🤷‍♂️

Be ready to ski when the lift starts spinning and be prepared to quit early. Might not be as bad as today, but it will be crowded. The Base Ikon pass is blacked out today but not tomorrow so I'm sure there are people waiting till tomorrow to get a day in this weekend.

BTW, it looked like that at 11:30 when I checked.
 
First time at Mont-Tremblant. Friday we had a beautiful blue sky day with fresh snow, yesterday was overcast at the summit, but decent conditions and today it was a zoo with long lift lines everywhere you look

Lines at sugarbush weren't bad Sat/Sun....we were always able to hit the singles line on the superbravo and be on the lift in 5min or less....never waited at heavens gate or Lynx....Castlerock, but they make you wait on purpose there, so not really counting that one. And they actually opened slide brook...dont think I have ever seen it open. My son and I finally did the slidebrook side country stuff back to the road. It was a really great run, especially with the fresh snow....Waiting for the bus after wasnt awesome, but not terrible.

More I explore the Lincoln side of sugarbush, more I love it. Just so much more fun than killington IMO anyway.
