6 Mile Run Conditions

rode that "high log thing" 4 times. That was enough. The scary stream crossing bridge by the boardwalk I used do ONLY towards the lot, but now I do it both ways since its been "fixed."

Dont worry about falling off, its a water landing 😀

So far the only obstacle there is the HUGE log with that cutout. Someday I will do it, just not today.

The high log bridge is fine. IMO, It's much less sketchy and more predictable than the lower one in the ditch. 😉

No not that bridge - I'm too skeered to go over that one (at least the high one on the left). It's the bridge over the creek near the end of Blue just after the long boardwalk. They replaced the logs with boards but it's still kind of narrow. I tossed jdog a Home depot gift card - hoping he slaps up some railings on that thing

Railings?

What u talkin bout Willis! 😕

😀

They don't know how good they have it. 🙂 Remember the water crossing in the winter and the swap on blue before that really nice boardwalk was put in.
I will add to this...

When the first bridge from Rt. 27 was two boards... The red trail gully switch back when it wasn't all buffed up and easy

😀
It flows better with the trail as well

MSH - the OTB dismount is one of my favorites - especially if it is more of a leap-frog landing on your feet!

I'm pretty sure my feet were the last thing to hit the ground.

The weird thing about that part of the trail is that going towards jacques lane, the sign reads that mtb and hikers are allowed, but on the same stretch going towards route 27, it says hikers only. :hmmm:

I plan on road riding by the canal lot Saturday afternoon at some point. I will check it out and post up. We did get a lot of rain and it's still misting out now. Saturday won't be any good but it's worth checking for Sunday.

Just finished my ride (27 to Middlebush; back), it was wet/muddier than expected. Should be a lot better in the afternoon (if the sun shows up).

Was out today with my son today. We did everything except the blue trail which I felt would've been muddy and nasty anyway. The trails aren't in bad shape and in most places were downright fun and fast. A few puddles here and there to avoid plus the concrete bridge is still partially submerged. Should be great by late tomorrow or Tuesday.

Traveled up from Ceres today and had a blast. For the most part I thought the trails were is great shape. There were a couple bad spots, but not many. Hats off to the crew who maintains. Very fun.
