B) Imagine that you’re at the controls of a railway switch and there’s an out-of-control trolley coming.
The tracks branch into two, one track that leads to Nickelback, and the other to the Eagles (the band).
If you do nothing, the trolley will smash into Nickelback.

Dan, to this specific point, I don't recall any request to help with regards to the MTBNJ.COM races this spring. I may be wrong though. Personally, if I am asked and I am in a position to help I try to help, so it seems to be the case for the OOS crew. @Norm asked for OOS volunteers and a bunch of OOSes showed up. Looking forward to any future occasion to help, (maybe closer to home, i.e. some TM).

From what I've seen so far Max is always the first to offer a helping hand whenever somebody is in 'need' (and I have a crappy free seat post taking space in my garage to prove it). Just make sure a fire extinguisher is within reach and you'll be fine.

That said... @Norm , what would you see the MTBNJ.COM (not the team) members do to help the sport, the movement, the website etc. get better ? I mean the average to sloppy member (such as myself), I'm sure there's plenty of gals and guys giving already their 1000%.

This is true, Max is the first to help out someone in need. His style of comedy makes him a figurative punching bag on the internet, but in real life is an extremely capable and helpful person.
