Feel better @Mitch !In with the misses, hopefully Mitch will be able to ride a bike by then.
You're welcome Frank and best of luck with the rides! Let me know if I can help in any way! After checking with @DanBrodeen of Cranks around the Campfire fame, he approved of a proposed name change for future Big C rides!
The next ride will be called Cranks for Cancer! I already have a friend who is jazzed about the name and is going to design a logo!! How cool is that??? Thanks Dan!!
If you bring them!!! LolWill there be marshmallows? Asking for a friend
Great idea. 👍If you bring them!!! Lol.
<HUGS>Is it totally sad that this threat warms my heart? Knowing that folk want to come and support a slow, short ride to help others is one of the reasons I got so involved in this community to begin with. All helping one another…..just so awesome, and I’m so very proud to call so many of you my brothers.

The more I think of it, the more I agree with this statement. When you’re with family, you can be yourself and relax. My cycling family relaxes me, helps me clear my head, allows me to vent, hold me when I break down, and never, ever, hold anything over my head….unless it’s funny.something like family, right
Hi Frank, last FC ride was great. I wanna say I am in for this, but I had hip replacement surgery on September 25th (right hip this time and no, not from a fall this time!). I have ridden a little so far and was at Allaire last Sunday (only the easy stuff). So, I am going to show up but may have to drop out at some point. Don't want to push too hard but will definitely join you guys for the campfire. Sue will be coming also. Look forward to joining my fellow survivors.I’m happy to officially announce a non-official ride. In keeping with the vibe of January's ride, this is a very chill, beginner paced ride to encourage folk to chat. It will be a 7ish mile ride that will end with a campfire at the group campsite which Allaire is gratuitously allowing us to use. So bring your lawn chairs and please carpool if at all possible as parking is limited to 50 at the site. There are some spots outside the site but we cannot reserve them.
The theme is Fuck Cancer and you are not alone.
In my journey I never felt alone because sharing my story has brought me so much mental support that I can’t imagine being without it. So I want others who are ill, have family or friends who are suffering to perhaps feel comfortable enough to share.
Date: Sunday November 26
Time: 10am
Location: Allaire group campsite. Where the dinosaurs were.
