I'll try to make it. PM me coords or something if you could. The wedding is up by me, reception is down the Palisades somewhere. I should make both since the ride is so early, I'll just need Red Bull in my drinks later.
 
it really isnt worth the drive when you can ride ringwood, west milford, wayway or parks surrounding montclair or any other place around there. Singletrack at highmountain is double track, walking paths and old fireroads. Only thing tough there is the climbing but is like any other place in northern nj minus the singletrack. I've ridden there twice on the SS and nothing was difficult to ride. far better places to ride but if its local then i can see you riding there.

I don't disagree with this statement, but I still find myself riding High Mountain quite a bit. The trail network is obviously not as extensive as the places you've mentioned, but it's pretty unique with a nice mix of rocks and climbing. All of the blazed trails are garbage though.
 
Hey guys. Sorry but I'm gonna have to back out of the Sat, Aug 1 ride. Just found out I'm gonna be traveling for a week. I will try to put something else together when I get back, but feel free to organize within yourselves.

Hey guys, can I please join you soon? I live around the corner from the park and have hiked here many times and ridden the red trail and parts of the yellow. I hooked up with a meetup group once to try to learn the unmarked trails but they rode at a race pace and I dropped out pretty fast. I'm not slow but I don't like to rush, especially on the climbs. Thanks.

You should meet up and ride with @C8N since he is local and knows most of the trails. When @soundz gets back from the UK he'll organize a ride and I can show you guys the rest of the trails.

I have been on a exploring mode lately at HM and all the trails are starting to look the same to me lol
Hence, I may fumble here and there but I can show you around HM.
If you are interested, let me know and we can schedule something and just so that you know, I am a noob so it will definitely not be a race pace.

Edit: I will riding tomorrow in the early AM.

Sorry but weekdays are no good for me.
I work in the city and I get home pretty late.
Anytime during the weekend AM are good for me.
 
If anyone's interested I'm gonna give it a go after work 530 Thursday or Friday. never been here but going to follow JimN's garmin map. is there an actual parking lot off of the WP university/college rd? And is that the best place to park?
