Bring a Trailer - OMFG or On Topic

I'm not sure I get your tastes... 🙂

Maserati - Italian reliability. Looks great but not known for reliability. Pretty cheap for a neat car though.

3000GT - "Dodge of Japan" couldn't be more apt since that car was also sold as a Dodge. Those 3000GTs are really interesting but are known as one of the worst cars to work on with that twin-turbo V6 shoved in there and lots of gadgetry.
Buddy of mine in college had a '94 3KGT VR4. Heavily modified, always had problems. But when it ran the way it was supposed to, holy hell that thing was an absolute beast. Looked stock too, which made it really fun.

I also knew a guy that had one modded to the moon, put out a ridiculous HP number, something around 800, which was crazy for the day. When it ran, it was the fastest thing on the road, but he was constantly blowing motors and transmissions. He converted it to 2wd after he blew the 4wd system for the third time.

Yup. Super cool cars though. Active aero, on-the-fly adjustable suspension damping, 4-wheel steering. My friends was the same deal, I think he made around 800hp at like 35ish PSI on pump gas. Put your foot down, wait a few seconds to build boost, then get hit with a wall of power and watch the front end of the car lift.

Modding the engine to to push 3x the power and expect the drivetrain to take it in stride. Makes sense.

Sure, what I find annoying though is then to refer to the car as unreliable...
All the issues my friend had were tuning related. I don't even remember him breaking anything, even when it made full power. But it just never ran right and was always in the shop. But I loved that car. And all those awesome turbo cars from the 90's.

I still have my ‘91 GST, unfortunately a huge branch falling off a maple tree caved in the the roof so it may never be put on the road again. Once I fixed all the mods and incorrectly installed parts it ran for years without an issue as my daily driver.

As predicted - I am the high bidder and reserve not met. Seller tried to reach out for a deal I said nah only if you sell to me for $42,250. Good luck holding onto it going through winter and rates sucker!

he did you a favor, outside of having 4 seats, WTF do you want with that thing?

@UtahJoe It might be ironic but it’s a reliable engine and not a special engine to service. The vert is usually worth more than the coupe. And you are able to have better audio orgasms with the top down.

Yes, engine is great....But ^this is a coupe....you were buying a convertible ginamatic......a car that lost ~70% of its value in a matter of 8 years? I dont even want to know what it would cost to service/fix that thing.

i'm waiting to get cambicorsa for under $10k.

Went for $426k
