Bring on the Snow

I have said this before but I'll repeat it. Between 30-40 degrees plus rain is war zone material. You need to prepare for the worst. 25 and snow is easier to ride in than this. It is 31 and rainy snow where I am now. Dress for a winter war zone.

i was FREEZING the last 20 minutes of my ride. Everything was just soaked. i must have dumped 6 oz of water out of my winter shoes

it is snowing like crazy here. i've got 2" on the ground already.

Yep, snowing like crazy here too. Just posted the same info in the mtn man thread, but we have a bunch of trees and limbs down. That didnt take very long 🙁

Couple inches up here already. Felt like I was losing my toes in Wawayanda today, but fun ride nonetheless. Still, it's WAY too early for this crap, lol

4 inches here too. Roads are covered.

All we have is rain at Hartshorne, but at least a few inches.

Any pictures from Jamesburg?

At what point does epic just become stupid?

I'm staring down a 6 pack of Sierra Nevada Autumn nut brown ale.....thinking the same thing.

Edit**** decision made.

I just spent 12 hours driving and cleaning for a 40 minute race. Stupid , yes. I may stay home tomorrow.

We lost power here in New Milford about 3 hours ago. I am glad my lights were fully charged as they are coming in pretty handy right now. I will be spending tomorrow clearing branches and the remains of my bbq grill that is sitting covered underneath a 20 foot branch, a little flatter than it should be. This truly sucks. Time for some more board games with the family.
